Objective:This paper investigates the current situation of Non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)behavior among adolescents in Changchun, and clarified the correlation of NSSI behavior with gender,single-parent family, childhood aggression, peer bullying in school,Big Five personality traits and psychological resilience. To explore the relationship between NSSI behavior、Big Five personality traits and psychological resilience in adolescents,to understand the mediating effect of psychological resilience between NSSI behavior and Big Five personality traits in adolescents. In order to provide more ways and theoretical support for the prevention and intervention of NSSI behavior. Methods:A total of 1600 paper questionnaires were distributed to middle school students in Changchun, including general demographic survey,Big Five Personality Scale,Adolescent Resilience Scale and Adolescent non-suicidal Self-injury questionnaire.Classification of data by chi-square difference inspection.Because the independent variables, the Big Five Personality Scale are continuous variables. The mediating variable, psychological resilience, was a continuous variable.Categorical variable non-suicidal Self-injury was the dependent variable. The significance of mediating effect was judged by Sobel test.Results:1.Gender(χ~2=9.58,P<0.01),whether it was a single-parent family(χ~2=13.91,P<0.01),whether they had childhood aggression(χ~2=103.63,P<0.01)and had experienced bullying by peers at school(χ~2=11.89,P<0.01)was statistically significant for the presence or absence of NSSI.2.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that NSSI was positively with neuroticism(B=0.105,P<0.01).NSSI was negatively with extroversion(B=-0.048,P<0.05).NSSI was negatively with agreeableness(B=-0.043,P< 0.05).Meanwhile,NSSI was negatively with psychological resilience(B=-0.072,P<0.01).3.Psychological resilience had a partial mediating effect between NSSI and neuroticism(Z=8.07,P< 0.01),psychological resilience had a partial mediating effect between NSSI and extroversion(Z=-29.94,P< 0.01),psychological resilience had a complete mediating effect between NSSI and agreeableness(Z=-7.409,P< 0.01).Conclusion:1、The high incidence of adolescents NSSI behavior is associated with female,single-parent family, childhood aggression and peer bullying.2、Among the five major personality traits, neuroticism increased the risk of NSSI behavior in adolescents, extroversion and agreeableness decreased the risk of NSSI behavior in adolescents, and psychological resilience was a protective factor for adolescents not to have NSSI behavior.3、Psychological resilience plays a mediating role between NSSI with Big Five personality traits of adolescents.Which means that NSSI behaviors of adolescents can be reduced by improving psychological resilience.
