Research On The Patriotic Health Movement In Northeast China In The Early Period Of The Founding Of New China

The patriotic health movement is a great initiative in China’s health work.At the early stage of the founding of New China,the people of Northeast China,under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,actively carried out the patriotic health movement,which effectively controlled the epidemic,improved the health level of the general public and promoted the development of health.In the face of today’s new crown pneumonia epidemic,the study of the patriotic health movement in the Northeast can provide valuable experience for the development of today’s health and epidemic prevention in China.The whole paper is divided into three parts.The first part mainly describes the historical background of the patriotic health movement in the northeastern region at the early stage of the founding of New China.On the one hand,the backward sanitary conditions made all kinds of diseases frequent and the environmental health problems were equally serious.On the other hand,the large-scale germ war launched by the United States had seriously affected the lives and health of the people in the Northeast.The second part describes the main contents of the patriotic sanitation campaign in the Northeast,including the mobilization of the general public to actively participate in the campaign by opposing the American germ warfare,the prevention and control of epidemics by catching rats and insects to eliminate epidemics,the development of sanitation education to penetrate into the people’s minds,and the development of grassroots health organizations to ensure the health of the general rural population.The third part evaluates the main effectiveness and basic experience of the patriotic health campaign in the Northeast.The series of patriotic health campaigns carried out under the leadership of the Party and the government have,to a certain extent,controlled the occurrence of various infectious diseases,made new progress in urban and rural medical and health care,and enhanced the people’s sense of identity with the Communist Party of China.Adhering to the leadership of the Party is the fundamental guarantee for the success of the patriotic health movement.In the course of the patriotic health movement,the northeast region has always adhered to the leadership of the Party,established medical and health institutions,made efforts to combine the patriotic health movement with production and construction,and continuously promoted the development of health.The Communist Party of China always maintained close contact with the general public and relied closely on the masses.The implementation of the prevention-oriented epidemic prevention policy enabled the masses of people to gradually get rid of the threat of epidemics,thus further laying the Party’s mass base.The valuable experience gained by the patriotic health movement in the Northeast provided inspiration for the development of health and epidemic prevention in the Northeast and the whole country after the founding of New China.Through the compilation and study of historical materials,the historical experience accumulated in the patriotic health movement in the Northeast during the early period of the founding of New China is studied in depth,with a view to providing valuable reference for the in-depth study of the approaches,initiatives and experiences in dealing with public health emergencies today.
