Objective: To determine the changes of peripheral diopter in young myopia children with peripheral defocus soft lens and peripheral defocus frame glasses,and to investigate the prevention and control effects of myopia.Methods: Prospective study.Twenty-two(42 eyes)children wearing peripheral defocus design corneal contact lenses(DISCs)and 22(44 eyes)children wearing peripheral defocus design frame glasses(DIMSs)to treat myopia were included.All subjects underwent optometry and axial eye examination respectively before and after wearing glasses for 1 year.Peripheral diopter was detected by Grand Seiko WAM-5500 in naked eyes and under the condition of wearing glasses for 1 month,and the results were statistically analyzed.Paired T test,independent sample T test were used.Results: After the 1-year observation period,the eye axis of the two groups of wearing peripheral defocus soft lens(DISCs group)and peripheral defocus frame glasses(DIMSs group)increased from 24.09±0.70 mm to 24.41±0.68mm(P=0.00).DIMSs group increased from 23.97±0.68 mm to 24.38±0.70mm(P=0.00);Compared with DIMSs(0.31±0.17 mm vs.0.42±0.21mm),there was a statistical difference(P=0.03)in the amount of ocular axis change in DISCs group.The peripheral myopic defocus of the two groups increased after wearing the mirror compared with the baseline.In the DISCs group,M,Fs and Ft showed an obvious tendency of myopic defocus on the nasal and temporal sides.Before and after wearing the mirror,the lines of 10°,20° and 30° in nasal side were-0.05±0.30 DVS.-0.74±0.63 D,-0.10±0.38 DVS.-0.81±0.63 D and-0.03±0.58 DVS.-0.65±0.91 D,and-0.04±0.26 DVS.-0.67±0.63D、-0.12±0.45 DVS.-0.91±0.83 D and-0.01±0.61 DVS.-0.78±1.15 D at the 10°,20° and30°of the temporal side,differences were statistically significant;In addition,myopia defocus gradually increased from the center to the nose and temporal at 10° and 20°,and the increase was more severe in the temporal.However,no continuous increase trend was observed at the nose and temporal at 30°.In DIMSs group,the diameters of10°,20° and 30° in nasal side before and after wearing DIMSs were 0.08±0.30 DVS.-0.08±0.30D、-0.02±0.51 DVS.-0.39±0.44 D and-0.06±0.93 DVS.0.35±0.55 D,and-0.08±0.25 DVS.-0.33±0.38D、-0.06±0.43 DVS.-0.45±0.35 D and-0.02±0.77 DVS.-0.25±0.54 D at the 10°,20° and 30°of the temporal side.There was no statistical difference between nasal and temporal 30°;Both Ft and Fs showed myopic drift in nasal and temporal angles,but showed no trend of linear increase or decrease.Conclusion: In young myopia children,peripheral defocus soft lens has better myopia prevention and control effect than peripheral defocus frame glasses,forming more peripheral retinal myopia defocus,which can be used as one of the intervention methods to control the progression of myopia. |
