Objective: To investigate the changes of brain function in depression patients with suicidalideation at rest, and to analyze the correlation between brain function changes and clinical features. Methods: A total of 220 patients with depression were divided into two groups by Beck Scale for Suicidal Ideation-Chinese Version(BSI-CV),including 163 patients in the group with suicidal Ideation and 57 patients without suicidal Ideation.Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)were used to evaluate the characteristics and severity of symptoms.T-test and non-parametric test of two independent samples were performed for the two scales.Nineteen patients with depression(12 in the suicidal ideation group and 7 in the non-suicidal ideation group)were randomly selected to undergo resting state magnetic resonance imaging and calculate the fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations(f ALFF),The f ALFF values of the two groups were compared by double-sample T test and corrected by FWE multiple comparison;FALFF value and clinical symptoms were extracted for Pearson correlation analysis.Results:(1)Compared with the group without suicidal ideation, the scores of HAMD(23.64±6.10)vs(20.09±7.04)score,t=-3.643,P<0.001],cognitive impairment factor[6(4 7)vs2(1 4)score,t=-7.11,P<0.001],HAMA[(25.48±8.34)vs(21.30±8.14)score,t=-3.277,P=0.001] and mental anxiety factor[12(10 15)vs 16(13 19)score,t=-4.484,P<0.001] were higher in the group with suicidal ideation. There were no significant differences in anxiety/somatization factor, body weight factor, hysteresis factor, sleep disorder factor and body anxiety factor between the suicidal ideation group and the non-suicidal ideation group(P < 0.05);(2)Compared with the suicidal ideation group, the f ALFF value in the right dorsolateral superior frontal gyrus(t=9.51,P<0.05)and the left supplementary motor area(t=8.41,P<0.05)was increased in the group without suicidal ideation;(3)The right dorsolateral superior frontal gyrus was associated with cognitive impairment factors(r=-0.65,P=0.01).Conclusions: Abnormal spontaneous neural activity in prefrontal lobe and supplementary motor area can be seen in the imaging of depressed patients with suicidal ideation in resting state, and some of the abnormal activity may be related to cognitive impairment.
