| Objective: To investigate the relevance of Wu Jutong’s theory of five movements and six qi and the application of prescriptions and flavors in the treatment of exogenous diseases by combing the environment of five movements and six qi of the patients in Wu Jutong’s Medical Cases with the corresponding odor and medication rules through the theory of five movements and six qi.Methods: Using a combination of theoretical research and statistical analysis, the environment of five movements and six qi s of the patients in the nine cases of externally induced diseases in Wu Jutong’s Medical Cases, including wind-warm,summer-warm,and fushun, were projected and their disease development was analyzed.Based on Wu Jutong’s treatment and medication,we investigated the use of Wu Jutong’s prescriptions and the combination of flavors in the clinical cases of external sensation from the perspective of five movements and six qi,combining the theory of five movements and six qi with the theory of five flavors and yin and yang. Results: 1.Based on the study of Wu Jutong’s prescriptions for external sensation, the environment of five movements and six qi is more consistent with Wu Jutong’s clinical diagnosis and treatment.2.Under the same disease,in different environment of five movements and six qi,Wu Jutong used different prescriptions in clinical diagnosis and treatment.3.There are similarities in the prescriptions used by Wu Jutong in the clinical consultation and treatment of different diseases in the same environment of five movements and six qi.4.The influence of the six qi on diseases is more intuitive compared to the five movements. Conclusion: Looking at Wu Jutong’s Medical Case in the perspective of five movements and six qi,we found that the development of disease is highly correlated with the environment of five movements and six qi by reviewing the environment of five movements and six qi in which the patient is living. The qi of Sitian,Zaiquan,Xiang Sheng and Xiang Fu are more closely related to the development of diseases. The prescriptions used by Wu Jutong in the treatment of diseases were mostly in accordance with the environment of five movements and six qi in which the patients were living at that time and the treatment rules and methods recorded in the sutra. |
