Objective:The prognosis of malignant tumors of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is poor. The purpose of this study is to retrospectively analyze the short-term efficacy and quality of life of patients with SNM after nasal endoscopic surgery, and to evaluate the prognosis and its influencing factors,in order to improve the prognosis and guide the clinical individualized treatment.Methods:51 cases of nasal sinus malignancies treated by nasal endoscopic surgery from October 2016 to October 2020 in our Hospital were analyzed,33 males and 18 females, with a median age of onset of 62 years.Patients’ general condition, clinical symptoms, patho logical staging, tumour s tage, treatment plan and follow-up,and questionnaire review were collected;patients’ treatment outcome and prognosis were determined based on survival rate as well as postoperati ve nasal endoscopy, sinus MRI and systemic examinat ion.Pre-and post-operative quality of life assessments were obtained through the Nasal Sinus Outcome Test 22 questionnair e.Statistical analysis w as performed using SPSS25 software. Results:This study included eight pathologic al types of stage T1 to T4 a nasal sinus tumours with cervical an d mediastinal lymph nodes and distant metastases. All patients were treated with nasal endoscopic surgery and a fter a median follow-up time of 22.5 months, age greater than or equal to 70 year s,the development of ocular symptoms,oral/facial s ymptoms and a history of previous nasal surgery were independent risk factors for decreased recurrence-free survival(p<0.0 5).After operation, the patients had a wors e sense of smell and decreased sleep quality, but many nasal sym ptoms improved and the quality of life improved. Conclusion:Nasal endoscopic surgery is effective in the treatment of malignant tumors of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, and the quality o f life is significantly better than that of traditional surgery,so it is worth popularizing and applying.
