Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of acute osteofascial compartment syndrome in Yulin region in the past 10 years from2010 to 2019,and to provide basic data and reference for the diagnosis and treatment of acute osteofascial compartment syndrome in Yulin region. Methods:Seven medical institutions in Yulin area were selected as the investigation subjects, and 166 cases,138 males and 28 females, were collected from seven medical institutions in Yulin area for 10 years to meet the inclusion criteria.Three parts of information of patients with acute osteofascial compartment syndrome were obtained through the hospital computer electronic system: basic information, preoperative information, and postoperative information, established and entered into an Excel sheet database, and the data were statistically analyzed using the excel sheet, and the data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 23.0 software. Results:One hundred and sixty-six cases were collected that met the inclusion criteria,138 males and 28 females,in the age group of 10-59 years old accounted for 84% of all cases;caused by car accidents and fall from height injuries accounted for 65% of all cases, and two parts of the lower leg and forearm accounted for 87% of all cases. The number of acute osteofascial compartment syndrome in Yulin region is increasing every year, and the proportion of emergency surgery for acute osteofascial compartment syndrome in Yulin region increased from 33% of all cases in 2010 to 65% of all cases in2019.The proportion of all cases with sequelae is on the rise as the time from trauma to surgery increases. Conclusions:Acute osteofascial compartment syndrome in Yulin is more common in young and middle-aged men with high-energy injuries, and the site of occurrence is mostly in the lower leg and forearm;the number of cases of acute osteofascial compartment syndrome in Yulin is on the rise, and the proportion of cases of emergency osteofascial compartment dissection and decompression surgery is on the rise, which indirectly reflects the gradual improvement in the level of treatment of acute osteofascial compartment syndrome in Yulin. The risk of sequelae can be minimized by actively performing emergency osteofascial ventriculotomy and decompression surgery as early as possible.
