Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy,HCM,It is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases in cats,It is also a primary, genetic and non-congenital myocardial disease. An important cause of cat morbidity and mortality. It is in the process of clinical diagnosis that the use of targeted diagnostic items is important for the timely detection of the disease, the correct assessment of the severity of the disease and the selection of the correct treatment plan. The study collected information on cats with HCM,their age, breed, sex and neutering history, and conducted statistical analysis to explore the development pattern of the disease;analyzed the correlation with the disease course and type of onset through the comprehensive diagnostic results of clinical examination, hematological examination and imaging examination;conducted statistics on treatment modalities and treatment effects, summarized the pathogenesis pattern and appropriate treatment plan of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy syndrome in cats, and provided scientific reference basis for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy syndrome in cats.Thirty diseased cats diagnosed with HCM in a favored animal hospital in Chengdu were used for the study, including 30 cases with complete information. The diagnosis of HCM was confirmed when the left ventricular wall thickness(IVS or LVFW)at diastole was ≥6.00 mm at T1.Determine the grade of HCM condition, according to the grade of condition, give corresponding treatment, and record the treatment time and prognosis effect.Detailed information on their age, gender, breed, sterilization status, ultrasound test data, blood routine, blood biochemical test data,NT-proBNP level, disease grade, treatment plan, treatment time and prognosis effect were recorded. The results were as follows:Male cats had the highest incidence(93.3%);American Shorthair and British Shorthair cats had a high incidence both(26.7%),with a high incidence above 6 years of age(70%);HCM cats were mainly subclinical(73.3%);The BNP test results showed that all 30 affected cats had positive BNP results greater than normal.Comparing the treatment effects between the different protocols,it was found that the treatment effect of HCMasym cats was significantly better than that of HCMchf and HCMate cats(P < 0.05),while the treatment effect of HCMchf and HCMate, there was no difference(P > 0.05);the treatment time of HCMasym and HCMate cats was much lower than that of HCMchf affected cats(P < 0.05),while the treatment time of HCMasym and HCMate affected cats was not much different(P >0.05).For the correlation analysis between the diagnostic items(indicators),treatment and the basic data of the affected cats,it was found that none of the ventricular septum,LA/AO,BNP at the moment of T1,treatment time, treatment effect showed correlation with their basic biological indicators(P > 0.05).For the correlation between biochemical indicators at the moment of T1 and their underlying data,it was found that none of them correlated with each other. For the correlation between biochemical indicators at the moment of T1 and their diagnostic test items and treatment status,no correlation was found between any of them, except for creatine kinase,a biochemical indicator that showed some positive correlation with the LA/AO ratio(r=0.365,P<0.05).For the correlation between diagnostic items and treatment status,it was found that the type of disease and the choice of treatment regimen showed a strong positive correlation with the LA/AO ratio,BNP level, and treatment duration at the T1 moment before treatment(r=0.677,P<0.05;r=0.565,P<0.05;r=0.523,P<0.05),and a negative correlation with the treatment effect(r=-0.422,P<0.05).the LA/AO ratio at the moment of T1 showed a strong positive correlation with BNP levels(r=0.820,P<0.05).the BNP levels at the moment of T1 showed a negative correlation with the treatment effect(r=-0.369,P<0.05).However,there was no correlation between treatment time and treatment effect(P > 0.05)In conclusion, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is more frequent in males with arterial thromboembolism and congestive heart failure in cats older than 5 years of age.The severity of symptoms in HCM is independent of age, sex, breed, and neutering. The LA/AO ratio is an important diagnostic indicator, and laboratory NTproBNP tests and biochemical tests for creatine kinase are important complementary methods for the diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in cats. The LA/ Higher levels of LA/AO ratio and NT-proBNP concentrations are indicative of more severe symptoms and poorer prognosis. The prognosis of asymptomatic cats is better than that of cats with heart failure and arterial plugging. This study can effectively guide the targeted diagnosis and treatment of feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in the clinical setting, providing an important theoretical basis for the precise prevention and treatment of the disease. |
