The excessive application of chemical pesticides has brought about serious negative problems such as the quality and safety of agricultural products and the pollution of agricultural surface sources. In response, since 2014,the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued a series of policies and measures to regulate and guide farmers’ application behavior, emphasis the promotion of green control technologies, with a view to promoting the sustainable and healthy development of agriculture. The tea industry is an important pillar industry in China and Ectropis grisescens Warren is a highly damaging leaf-eating pest in tea plantations, their outbreaks can lead to a decline in tea quality and even affect tea production. However, due to the influence of the traditional planting concept, tea farmers mostly focus on chemical control, which seriously restricts the development of the tea industry, and the application of green control technology is an important guarantee to ensure the quality and safety of tea and the sustainable development of the ecological environment. At the moment the promotion and application of green prevention and control technology in tea gardens is still facing huge obstacles, farmers as the main body of technology adoption, scientific analysis of the key factors influencing the adoption of green prevention and control technology by farmers,to promote the adoption of green control technology by farmers and promote green tea Production is of great significance. The paper, based on a review of domestic and international literature, predicts the current and future hazard of E.grisescens, revealing the key climatic factors affecting its distribution and the risk of its spread in the future;and based on the theory of farmers’ behavior, cognitive theory and embedded social structure theory,a theoretical model of social capital, farmers’ cognition and farmers’ adoption behavior of green prevention and control technologies was constructed.According to the survey data of Fuding City,Fujian Province, the influence of social capital and farmers’ cognition on farmers’ adoption behavior of green control technology is explored in depth using structural equation modeling, and policy measures for E.grisescens control as well as promoting the application of green control technology are proposed. The results of the study show that:(1)At present, the E.grisescens is distributed in most provinces in China, temperature and precipitation are the key climatic factors affecting its distribution, and the suitable distribution area of the E.grisescens has a tendency to further expand under future climatic conditions, and under current and future climatic conditions the E.grisescens is relatively widely distributed in the Fujian region and faces greater risks;(2)Tea farmers’ cognition of green control techniques and the E.grisescens is at a moderate to low level.(3)The study of individual characteristics and household resource endowment on farmers’ green prevention and control technology adoption behavior using independent samples T-test and one-way ANOVA showed that tea farmers’ age, whether they were part-time,education level, cultivation area, annual income from tea,and household size engaged in tea production significantly affected farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior, while gender had no significant effect on farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior.(4)Social capital is an important factor influencing farmers’ adoption behavior of green control technologies.Among them, social network and social trust have a significant positive impact on farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior.(5)Farmers’ cognition is an important factor influencing farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior, farmers’ cognition of technology ease, technology usefulness and the E.grisescens cognition all have significant positive influence on farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior, and farmers’ cognition has a significant mediating effect in the influence of social capital on farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior, that is,social capital and farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior will have an indirect influence on farmers’ green control technology adoption behavior through farmers’ cognition.Among them, social networks and social norms affect farmers’ technology adoption behavior through changes in perceptions of technology ease of use;social networks, social trust and social norms affect adoption behavior through perceptions of technology usefulness;and social networks and social trust affect farmers’ technology adoption behavior through perceptions of the E.grisescens.To consolidate the above conclusions, this paper proposes to increase the monitoring and prevention and control of E.grisescens, focus on the cultivation of tea farmers’ social capital, improve tea farmers’ cognition of green control technology and tea garden pests, and enhance farmers’ awareness of environmental protection and green production,so as to give full play to the positive role of social capital and farmers’ cognition in promoting the promotion and application of green control technology among farmers.
