Seedling cultivation is a key link in vegetable production. The simple use of seedling bed soil has many shortcomings, such as insufficient porosity, excessive bulk density and a series of problems, which seriously affect the quality of seedlings. These problems can be solved by adding commercial substrates such as coconut husk and turf soil. But that makes it expensive. In order to solve this problem at a low cost, this study uses fermented rice husk to improve the soil and local agricultural waste to solve the problem of seedling cultivation,so as to achieve low cost and achieve the purpose of cultivating high-quality and strong seedlings. In this experiment, seedling bed soil(decomposed organic fertilizer: soil = 3:7)was used as control group(CK1).Control group 2(CK2)was treated with the standard matrix mixed with coconut bran: grass char: perlite = 1:1:1.A certain proportion of fermented rice husk was added to the soil as the seedling substrate, and the five experimental groups were T1(soil: fermented rice husk = 9:1).T2(Soil: fermented rice husk = 7:3);T3(soil: Fermented rice husk = 5:5);T4(Soil: Fermented rice husk = 3:7);T5(Soil: Fermented rice husk = 1:9).Using cucumber, tomato and pepper as experimental materials, the effects of mixed matrix on seedling cultivation of three kinds of vegetables were determined by measuring the changes of matrix parameters, seedling growth and development indexes, chlorophyll content and photosynthetic characteristics indexes. The results are as follows:1.With the increase of the proportion of fermented rice husk, the physical and chemical properties of seedling substrate changed, which showed that the bulk density decreased, the total porosity increased, the water holding capacity and p H value decreased, and the EC value had no significant difference. The physicochemical properties of the seedling substrate in experimental group T2 were better, and the physicochemical properties of treatment T2 were bulk density of 0.82g/cm3,total porosity of 60.41%,ventilation porosity of 4.56%,water retention porosity of 53.85%,p H of 6.20,EC of 0.341 ms cm-1.2.This experiment studied the seedling rearing effect of fermented rice husk and soil mixed with different proportions of substrate in cucumber, tomato and pepper.Through the comparison of seedling growth and root development of three kinds of vegetables,it was found that T2 of experimental group was significantly better than CK1 of control group(P≤0.05).However,the growth and development effects of T2 seedlings in experimental group and CK2 seedlings in control group were similar(P >0.05).In terms of plant height index of three kinds of vegetable seedlings,T2 of experimental group was increased by 21.51~51.18% compared with CK1 of control group. In the total root length index of three kinds of vegetable seedlings,T2 of experimental group was increased by 21.71~89.87% compared with CK1 of control group.3.By comparing the chlorophyll content and photosynthetic characteristics of three kinds of vegetables,it was found that T2 of experimental group was significantly higher than CK1 of control group(P≤0.05)and better than CK2 of control group in seedling rearing of cucumber, tomato and pepper seedlings with different proportions of fermented rice husk and soil.In terms of total chlorophyll index of three kinds of vegetable seedlings,Compared with the control group,T2 of experimental group increased by 42.31-61.87%;In terms of net photosynthetic rate index of three kinds of vegetable seedlings,T2 increased by 29.91-55.84% compared with CK1.The comprehensive analysis showed that T2 composite matrix of the experimental group could partially replace the mixed matrix used by high-cost matrix materials due to its good physical and chemical properties and low cost, and increase the diversity of matrix selection.Since fermented rice husk is agricultural waste,if it can be fully utilized as seedling breeding substrate,it will be conducive to agricultural resource reuse and bring cost-effective new seedling breeding substrate for actual production. |
