Most of the previous trait analyses of variety resources used the annual mean value of phenotypes to cluster,and the mean value of phenotypes could not represent the inheritance of traits.Genotype value is the genetic factor that determines the phenotype,so the clustering of genotype value can reflect the genetic characteristics of the trait more,and has more breeding value.In this study,four yield traits and five fiber quality traits in seven environments of 302 upland cotton cultivars(lines)were analyzed for genetic and genotypic correlation analysis by genetic and genotypic×environment models.The genotypic values of yield and fiber quality traits of multiple cultivars(lines)were used for clustering.The results show that:1.The variation coefficients of four yield traits among 302 different upland cotton varieties(lines)are in the order of lint yield /plant > boll number /plant > boll weight > lint percentage.The variation coefficients of the five quality traits are in the order of micronaire value > fiber strength > fiber length >elongation > uniformity.2.Genotypic variance of nine traits of 302 tested varieties(lines)has reached significant or extremely significant level,and the order from large to small is lint percentage > lint yield per plant > length >breaking specific strength > uniformity > boll number > boll weight > micronaire value > elongation.3.According to the genotype value,a number of germplasm resources with outstanding performance of certain trait were screened out.4.The number of bolls per plant was positively correlated with lint yield per plant,fiber length,evenness and micronaire value.There is a significant or extremely significant genotype positive correlation between boll weight and other traits;There was a significant genotype positive correlation between lint percentage and lint yield per plant and micronaire value.There is a significant genotype positive correlation between lint yield per plant and fiber length,evenness and micronaire value.The fiber length is positively correlated with evenness,specific strength and elongation,negatively correlated with micronaire value,positively correlated with evenness and specific strength,and positively correlated with elongation.5.302 upland cotton varieties(lines)were divided into 9 population types,and the third type of varieties(lines)includes 23 upland cotton varieties(lines),which can be used as germplasm resources to improve yield traits.Category 7 varieties(lines)include 36 upland cotton varieties(lines),which can be used as excellent materials to improve quality traits.Category 9 has a good comprehensive performance,including 26 upland cotton varieties(lines). |
