Research On Competitiveness Evaluation Of Beef Cattle Industry Cluster In Liupanshan Region Of Ningxia Based On GEM Model

Ningxia has a long history of raising beef cattle and has been listed as the national advantageous producing area of beef cattle by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.At present,as one of the "six special" industries in Ningxia Autonomous Region,beef cattle industry plays a vital role in the high-quality economic development of Ningxia.At the same time,Ningxia Liupanshan beef cattle industry cluster,as one of the 50 national advantageous characteristic industrial clusters identified in 2020,plays a key role in the connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.Therefore,it is of great significance to systematically evaluate the development level and competitiveness of the beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan.Based on GEM model,this paper explores the construction of a comprehensive competitiveness evaluation index system to evaluate and evaluate the competitiveness level of beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan area,in order to put forward countermeasures and suggestions for the improvement of the competitiveness of beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan area,and also provide reference for the study of the development of agricultural characteristic industry cluster in surrounding areas.Based on the field research data and the questionnaire survey of the government’s beef cattle industry leaders and the enterprise’s middle and senior management personnel,this paper made an in-depth analysis of the development status of the beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan region based on the GEM model,and built the competitiveness evaluation system of the beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan region on this basis.Six aspects of resources,facilities,suppliers and ancillary industries,enterprise structure competition strategy,local market and foreign market were selected as the criterion layer,and then 31 factor layers were constructed and selected to analyze the score of the competitiveness level of the beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan area.The conclusion was as follows:(1)The score of the competitiveness level of the beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan area was 183 points.Liupanshan beef cattle industry cluster competitiveness level is limited,competitiveness is slightly lower than the national average level.(2)The competitiveness evaluation results show that the weight value of facility factor is the highest,followed by resource factor,supplier and auxiliary industry factor,local market factor,enterprise structure competitive strategy factor,and finally the foreign market factor.It shows that facilities and resources have a higher impact on the competitiveness of the beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan,while other factors have a lower impact.(3)Capital resources,scientific and technological level,scientific research environment,human resources,professional level of related industries,supplier strength,overall strategic planning of enterprises,brand building,brand trust in foreign markets and other aspects of the industrial cluster are relatively weak,and there is a great space for improvement and improvement.According to the evaluation results,the paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the competitiveness of the beef cattle industry cluster in Liupanshan area:(1)improve the financial service system and maintain the healthy development of the industry cluster;(2)Strengthen the support of scientific and technological services,and strengthen the introduction and cultivation of talents;(3)Cultivate large forage processing enterprises and improve slaughter and processing capacity;(4)Formulate enterprise development plans to enhance the competitiveness of industrial clusters;(5)Increase brand publicity and marketing efforts to improve brand trust in foreign markets.
