As a small population of Sichuan snub-nosed monkey(Rhinopithecus roxellana)distributed around east edge,Shennongjia Snub-nosed monkey remains no more than1200 and has been threatened with extinction,the population number is on urgency to be expanded.Based on the former research of Shennongjia snub-nosed monkey food habit,this experiment estimated caged Shennongjia snub-nosed monkey routine nutritional requirement through caged Shennongjia snub-nosed monkey ad libitum feeding test in four seasons,and the nutrients of the samples were analyzed at the laboratory.1.Ad libitum feeding test showed that Shennongjia snub-nosed monkeys prefer five kinds of food source,including Camellia japonica L.(leaf),Euonymus alatus(Thunb.)Sieb.(leaf),Padus brachypoda(Batal.)Schneid.(leaf),Crataegus wilsonii Sarg.(leaf),Syringa komarowii Schneid.var.reflexa(C.K.Schneider)P.S.Green&M.C.Chang(leaf)in spring,Shennongjia Snub-nosed monkeys prefer five kinds of food source,including Impatiens balsamina L.(leaf),Euonymus alatus(Thunb.)Sieb.(leaf),Syringa komarowii Schneid.var.reflexa(C.K.Schneider)P.S.Green&M.C.Chang(leaf),Padus brachypoda(Batal.)Schneid.(leaf),Aralia chinensis L.(leaf)in summer,Shennongjia Snub-nosed monkeys prefer five kinds of food source,including pine nut,Sorbus hupehensis Schneid(fruit),Usnea diffracta Vain.,Vicia cracca L.(the entire plant)Euonymus alatus(Thunb.)Sieb.(leaves)in autumn.we chose plant food resources from food resource of spring,summer and autumn as feed feeding test.2.The seasonal feeding test results show that:the average daily dry matter intake of each monkey was 118.15±26.68 g in spring,164.07±34.25 g in summer,225.32±63.26 g in autumn and 270.99±80.28 g in winter.3.The average daily intakes of different nutrient of Shennongjia snub-nosed monkeys have seasonal differences,the average intake of CP reaches the highest in summer,up to34.12±5.52 g,extremely significant higher than all the other seasons,which are 19.35±4.49 g,18.61±3.96 g,19.65±5.30 g respectively;the average intake of CF reaches the highest in autumn,up to 51.23±22.75 g,extremely significant higher than all the other seasons,which are 12.23±4.20 g,25.04±5.71 g,21.80±9.45 g respectively,and the intake of spring is significantly lower than it in summer and winter;the average intake of EE reaches the highest in autumn,up to 40.56±9.41 g,extremely significant higher than all the other seasons,which are 12.23±4.20 g,25.04±5.71 g,21.80±9.45 g respectively,and the intake of spring is also significantly lower than it in summer and winter;the average intake of Ash reaches highest in autumn,up to 13.89±4.33 g,extremely significant higher than all the other seasons,which are 10.68±2.59 g,9.35±2.18 g,5.63±1.84 g respectively,and the intake of winter is significantly lower than it in spring and summer;the average intake of NDF reaches the highest in autumn,up to 62.84±32.38 g,extremely significant higher than it in spring and summer,which are 37.59±8.22 g,36.96±11.74 g respectively,significantly higher than it in winter,which is 44.42±25.53 g;the average intake of ADF reaches the highest in autumn,up to 30.58±20.71 g,significantly higher than it in summer,which is 18.35±8.42 g;the average intake of GE reaches the highest in winter,up to 4605.91±1445.44 KJ,extremely significant higher than it in spring and summer,which are 2072.76±461.88 KJ,3063.21±681.99 KJ respectively,the intake in autumn is also significantly higher than it in spring and summer,up to 3981.94±1200.38 KJ.4.The contents of different nutrient in daily ration of Shennongjia snub-nosed monkeys have seasonal differences,the CP content in daily ration reaches the highest in summer,up to(21.55±2.07)%,extremely significantly higher all the other seasons,which are(16.88±2.68)%,(9.09±1.51)%,(7.36±0.90)%respectively,and the CP contents of spring,autumn and winter have very significant difference;the CF content reaches the highest in autumn,up to(23.42±4.18)%,extremely significant higher than all the other seasons,which are(9.68±2.11)%,(9.35±2.29)%,(10.43±4.18)%respectively;the EE content reaches the highest in autumn,up to(19.53±1.89)%,extremely significant higher than all the other seasons,which are(10.43±2.68)%,(15.70±2.25)%,(7.82±1.36)%respectively,and the EE content in spring,summer and winter have very significant difference;the Ash content reaches the highest in spring,then summer,which are(9.35±1.66)%,(8.54±1.35)%respectively,and they are extremely significant higher than it in autumn and winter,which are(4.63±1.27)%,(2.07±0.21)%respectively;the NDF content has significant difference between spring and autumn,which are(32.83±4.04)%,(27.99±7.91)%are respectively,and it has very significant difference between summer and winter,which are(22.75±4.48)%,(15.71±5.81)%respectively;the ADF content reaches the highest in spring,up to(18.97±3.40)%,significantly higher than all the other seasons,which are(11.30±4.24)%,(13.11±5.70)%,(10.11±3.99)%;the GE content reaches the highest in summer,lowest in winter,which are 19.09±1.22 KJ/g,16.92±0.80 KJ/g.5.The factors influencing nutritional dry matter intake of Shennongjia snub-nosed golden monkey were different in different seasons.Nutrient content in diet had no significant influence on dry matter intake in spring,CP content in diet and dry matter intake were negatively correlated in summer,Ash content in diet and dry matter intake were positively correlated in summer,dietary CP,EE,CP/CF content and dry matter intake were significantly negative correlated,dietary CF,NDF,ADF content and dry matter intake were positively correlated in autumn,dietary Ash content was negatively correlated with the content of dry matter in winter,EE content in diet and dry matter intake were positively correlated,CF content and dry matter intake were significantly positive correlated,the content of CP/CF was negatively correlated.6.Based on the dry matter intake and nutritional factors of Shennongjia snub-nosed golden monkeys in different seasons,a linear regression analysis model was established to estimate nutrient requirements in different seasons,the linear regression equation of summer was Y=246.09-6.53Xcp+6.40XAsh(R2=0.399,p=0.022<0.05,n=18),the linear regression equation of autumn was Y=-14.62-18.68XCP+9.49XCF-3.46XEE+1.36XAsh+1.54XNDF+4.37XADF+330.60XCP/CF(R2=0.956,p<0.01,n=18),Winter regression equation:Y=52.65+2.87XCF+25.13XEE-9.51XCP/CF(R2=0.364,p=0.087>0.05,n=18),while there were no simple linear relationship between dry matter intake and influencing factors in summer and winter,a enlarged sample size was needed to make the non-linear regression analysis. |
