As a kind of economic crop,the fruit of Cyperus esculentus can not only be used as food and oil,but also has good medical value.The stems and leaves can be used not only as fodder,but also as ornamental plants.Because of its wide adaptability,it can be seeded in various types of land,which is of great significance to the economic development of barren areas.But now there is no more efficient,low-consumption planter to grow Cyperus esculentus.In order to improve the sowing efficiency and sowing stability,reduce energy consumption and production cost,this paper designed a kind of electric air suction seed metering device for Cyperus esculentus.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Determination of basic physical parameters of Cyperus esculentus and establishment of simulation model of Cyperus esculentus.The physical parameters of the seed balls were measured by experiments,which provided theoretical basis for the design and optimization of seed metering apparatus.The simulation model of Cyperus esculentus granule was established by API replacement method.(2)Design of key components of electric air suction type seed metering device for Cyperus esculentus.Through calculation and comprehensive consideration of many other factors to take 18 seed suction holes on the seed tray,the proposed seed suction holes were 5mm,5.5mm,6mm,6.5mm,7mm.A cylindrical round head stirring device was evenly distributed at 98 mm diameter of the seed tray to increase the fluidity of the cyperus esculentus.The critical vacuum degree is calculated by the formula,and the vacuum degree is in the range of 2.5 ~ 5k Pa for test.Use Solidworks3 d software to draw the 3d model of seed metering device.(3)Simulation test of electric pneumatic seed metering device.EDEM simulation software was used to simulate the seed filling process of Cyperus esculentus seeds in the seed filling chamber,observe the movement state of Cyperus esculentus seeds from entering the seed filling chamber to landing,obtain the curve or rule of seed ball speed with time,and compare the movement state of seeds with or without stirring device.FLUENT simulation software was used to simulate the internal flow field distribution of electric air suction type Cyperus esculentus seed metering device.The flow field changes in the seed suction hole of the air chamber and seed metering disk were mainly observed,and the gas chamber pressure distribution cloud diagram and the seed suction hole section velocity cloud diagram were compared under different parameters.Through coupling simulation of EDEM-Fluent,the process from seed filling to seed suction of Cyperus esculentus electric pneumatic seed metering device was simulated.By changing the speed of seed metering disk,the seed metering performance of the seed metering device with different parameters was measured.In order to verify the feasibility of the design scheme,and the way of 3D printing processing and production of seed tray.(4)Bench test.Through single factor test and orthogonal test,the significance of each factor’s influence on seeding performance was analyzed,and the optimal working parameters were obtained.The best performance was obtained when the vacuum degree was 4.5kpa,the seed suction aperture was 6.5mm and the rotation speed of the seed metering disk was 15 rpm.(5)The results of bench test and simulation are compared and analyzed.The rotation speed of the seed tray has a great influence on the missed seeding index,but some errors may occur due to the influence of various factors such as mechanical vibration of the actual bench,but the overall results are basically consistent.It can be seen from the above that the EDEM-FLUENT coupling simulation plays a great role in the design process of a machine.The optimal value of the design parameters can be obtained through online simulation,which can shorten the research and development time and reduce the test cost.As a defense,with the original suction type Cyperus esculentus seed metering device,this paper designed the electric suction type Cyperus esculentus seed metering device for bringing the electric fan,tractor power supply power supply directly or with small power supply are available,and can choose small horsepower tractors,less energy consumption greatly,and can increase the row of kind of stability,improved the production efficiency,At the same time,the production cost can be reduced to meet the requirements of precise sowing of Cyperus esculentus.
