Current Situation And Development Countermeasure Of Mutton Sheep Breeding In Pingshan County,Yibin City

Yibin City,Sichuan Province has a superior ecological environment,rich forage resources,and rich distiller’s grain resources.The cattle and sheep industry is a traditional advantage industry.Sichuan Province has clearly included Yibin City as a priority development area for the province’s mutton sheep breeding base to give key support.Pingshan County is close to the urban area of Yibin and has obvious geographical advantages.The number of mutton sheep slaughtered steadily ranks in the forefront of the city.In 2014,the county was listed as the first batch of mutton sheep standardized production base counties in the province.Paper investigation and other methods by access to information,field visits,collected in pingshan county mutton sheep industry related information,using case study method,semi-structured interview method,quantitative analysis method,analyzes the current pingshan county mutton sheep industry development present situation,find out the problems of pingshan county mutton sheep industry,puts forward some measures for the development of mutton sheep to pingshan county mutton sheep industrialization to provide certain reference basis.Research results show that the pingshan pleasant climate,good water quality,soil fertile,farmers enthusiasm high,very suitable for mutton sheep breeding,the existing main problem is the insufficient investment,weak foundation of breeding and cultivation technology is not mature,the mutton sheep breeding cycle is long,the production costs rise,the lack of powerful brand leading enterprises driving,etc.,influenced by the above factors,pingshan county mutton sheep industry in small scale,low degree of industrialization,the mutton supply tight,prices continue to rise,the serious influence to the urban and rural residents’ consumption demand,the potential of mutton sheep industry to help farmers’ income is far from.In the future,we should improve infrastructure,train breeding technology,reduce cost control,strengthen management level,increase talent introduction,and strengthen brand building.Policy support should also be increased to improve the infrastructure of mutton sheep breeding and make full use of the excellent geographical advantages.Through the introduction of Varieties such as The Big ear sheep of Jianzhou and the yellow sheep of Nanjiang,the local level of mutton sheep breeding was improved.The cost is controlled by various ways such as improving industrialization degree and raising breeding technology level.Promote the improvement of breeding technology and management level by introducing talents;Through the efforts in the next 3-5 years,we will form our own brand,drive the development of rural economy,and help the industrial poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
