| Promoting the continuous increase of farmers’ income and continuously improving farmers’ sense of gain, happiness, and security is one of the goals pursued by the rural revitalization strategy proposed by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.Cultivated land is one of the main spaces for farmers to obtain economic output and income. Its transformation and development have largely changed the allocation of land, capital, labor and other elements in rural areas, which has an important impact on farmers’ continuous income growth.Reasonable transformation of cultivated land use is an effective way to promote farmers’ income growth.Based on the external characteristics of cultivated land use,the transformation and development of cultivated land use patterns in this region will also affect farmers’ income in neighboring areas. Therefore,we will examine the space for farmers’ income increase due to cultivated land use transformation Spillover effects have important theoretical and practical significance for realizing the prosperity of farmers’ lives and the coordinated development of regions from the perspective of cultivated land resource management.Based on the panel data of 74 counties in Hubei Province from 2005 to 2017,this paper uses the spatial Dubin model to empirically study the spatial spillover effects of the transformation of cultivated land use on farmers’ income based on the analysis of the characteristics of farmland use transition and farmers’ income levels, and further Reveal the specific laws and characteristics of the spillover effect.Research results:(1)Both the transformation of cultivated land use and the income level of farmers in Hubei Province have significant positive spatial autocorrelation, which is characterized by high-high agglomeration and low-low agglomeration.(2)The various forms of cultivated land use transformation not only have direct effects on farmers’ income, but also have a positive spatial spillover effect that affects farmers’ income in neighboring counties. That is,farmers’ income in this county will increase by 1%,and farmers’ income in neighboring counties will increase by 0.65.%.(3)The positive spatial spillover effects between neighboring counties are mainly driven by changes in the quantity form of cultivated land, agricultural labor input form, and infrastructure input form.Among them, the spatial spillover effect generated by the change of agricultural labor input form accounts for the total positive effect.69%,the form of cultivated land accounted for 15%,and the form of infrastructure investment accounted for 12%.Therefore,the local government should pay attention to improving the synergy of the farmland utilization system among counties, and use its spatial spillover effect to promote the common development of all counties in Hubei Province and the synergistic increase of farmers’ income. |
