The research object of this paper is GDF Company,a second-level state-owned enterprise in Guangdong Province.After years of development,pig breeding has become the most important main business of the company.However,the lack of clear business competition strategy has restricted the rapid growth of pig breeding business of the company,and the company has lost the opportunity to be one of the top pig enterprises.The purpose of this paper is to explore the competitive strategy for the rapid and healthy development of pig breeding business for GDF Company through research and analysis,and formulate relevant strategic plans.In this paper,the business layer competitive strategy theory of enterprise strategic management and PEST,Porter’s five forces model,SWOT and other strategic analysis tools to carry out research and analysis.After analyzing internal resources and capacity of pig-breeding in GDF,it is clear that the advantages of GDF pig-breeding business have endorsed in the state-owned enterprise background,strong social resources integration capability,having a professional breeding technology talents team,the hard work entrepreneurial spirit of enterprise culture,breeding technology,environmental protection treatment,disease prevention and control.At the same time,there are disadvantages such as weak cost control ability,low level of fine market management,effectively mobilizing the enthusiasm of employees,and general knowledge level of employees.Through the analysis of external environment,the following opportunities exist in the pig breeding business of GDF Company are identified.At present,the national policy supports the development of pig breeding industry.Guangdong Province is a big pork consumption province,and GDF Company has cold chain investment for forward integrated development.Threats are low level of development in industrial chain,low level in the scale production,weak ability to resist risks,the bottleneck of investment in production expansion,and the domestic breeding technology.With the analysis of internal and external environment and SWOT analysis,this paper puts forward GDF company’s strategic commitment,strategic vision,strategic objectives and the strategy of concentrated differentiation chosen to achieve the goals.Finally,in order to promote the implementation of competition strategy of GDF pig breeding business,relevant promotion strategies are proposed,multi-dimensional quantification of strategic objectives is carried out,and measures such as corporate governance and organizational guarantee are proposed.Through research,this paper proposes that,basing on the current internal and external environment and their own resources,GDF company should focus on a large bay area of Guangdong,strive to build a regional brand of live pigs,foster healthy and suitable for mass breeding pig breeding system,form a complete set of meat products cold-chain transport service,do best and stronger GDF pig breeding business,through product differentiation,technical differentiation and service differentiation the focused differentiation strategy implementation GDF company strategy.
