| The environmental problems caused by greenhouse gas emissions have aroused widespread global concern. As the initiator and advocate of carbon reduction policies,China has also formulated its own carbon reduction goals.China will achieve 75%-85%of greenhouse gas emission reductions by 2050 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.This requires all walks of life in our country to take a green and low-carbon road, and the aquaculture industry is no exception. In recent years, our country’s aquaculture industry has developed rapidly, and the environmental problems brought by it are also prominent, especially the large amount of greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, quantifying the carbon emissions generated by the aquaculture industry has become of great significance. The purpose of this study is to conduct environmental life cycle assessments of the Penaeus vannamei aquaculture industry chain, quantitatively compare the carbon emissions at different stages of the aquaculture industry chain, identify the key points of energy input in each link that affect carbon emissions, and propose targeted improvement measures. It provides a reference for the development of green, healthy and low-carbon farming of Penaeus vannamei in the future, which has strong practical significance. The research content of this article is roughly as follows:This article first introduces the current research status of agricultural carbon emissions and aquaculture carbon emissions at home and abroad, and elaborates the research objectives, research technical routes, and research innovations and deficiencies of this thesis;subsequently, the concepts of industrial chain and carbon emissions appeared in the paper were defined, and the theoretical basis(sustainable development theory, climate change economics theory)and research methods(life cycle assessment method)of the paper were introduced;next, according to the characteristics of the case, the life cycle assessment model of the Penaeus vannamei aquaculture industry chain was established in accordance with the four steps of purpose and scope determination, inventory analysis, impact evaluation and result interpretation, and explained the data sources;finally, based on the actual situation of my own research,a case study was carried out based on the relevant models that have been built. With the help of the life cycle assessment software Simapro 9.0,from the stage of construction of farm infrastructure, the stage of transportation of shrimp seedlings, the stage of cultivation of mature shrimp, the stage of transportation of mature shrimp to the market and the stage of infrastructure Waste disposal to quantifies the carbon emissions generated by the vannamei industry chain in Rizhao City. The main results are as follows:The production of 1 ton of Penaeus vannamei aquaculture industry chain produces carbon emissions of about 16688.664 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent,of which carbon emissions are about 888.834 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent during the infrastructure construction stage of the farm, and about 271.783 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent is emitted during the shrimp seedling transportation stage. The carbon emissions during the aquaculture stage are about 15481.841 kg CO2 equivalent, the carbon emissions from the adult shrimp transportation to the market stage are about 45.852 kg CO2 equivalent, and the carbon emissions during the infrastructure abandonment disposal stage are about 0.353 kg CO2 equivalent;the carbon emission equivalent of the five stages accounted for 5.326%,1.629%,92.769%,0.275%,0.002% of the total carbon emission equivalent of the breeding industry chain, respectively.Among the input energy materials, electricity produced the largest carbon emissions, about 13,804.688 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent, accounting for 81.65% of the total carbon emissions equivalent of the breeding industry chain;followed by the carbon emissions from feeding compound feed during the breeding process, about 1439.147 kg of carbon dioxide Equivalent, accounting for 8.79% of the total carbon emission equivalent of the breeding industry chain;the energy material with the third most carbon emission is cement, which is about 614.533 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent, accounting for 4.87%of the total carbon emission equivalent of the breeding industry chain.Based on the above results,it can be concluded that: To reduce carbon emissions from the Penaeus vannamei industry chain, efforts must be made in the adult shrimp culture stage, especially in the consumption of electricity and feed;secondly,it is necessary to reduce the foundation of the farm. The carbon emissions generated during the construction of farm, especially the carbon emissions generated by the use of cement and other building materials. In this regard, the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from the state, affiliated enterprises and farmers and other subjects. |
