| Hybrid Cymbidium has great ornamental and cultural value and great market potential,which combines delicate fragrance and elegance of the Chinese Cymbidium with large and bright-colored flowers of the Cymbidium hybridium.Efficient seedling production technology is a prerequisite for the industrialization of hybrid Cymbidium.Nowadays,there was no relatively complete technical system of seedling production yet,and seedling production mainly depended on the experience of managers,which seriously restricted the development of the hybrid Cymbidium industry.Therefore,it is of great significance to systematically study seedling production technology and establish standard technical system for promoting the development of hybrid Cymbidium industry.In this research,in order to establish standard seedling production technology for different kinds of hybrid Cymbidium,we studied the factors which affected the transplanting of tube seedlings and the ramet of plants by using Cymbidium ‘Yu Xiang’,C.‘Hua Feng’,C.‘Xiao Feng’,C.‘Gong Fen Jia Ren’ and C.‘Qing Zhou Xian Zi’ as materials.The main results were as follows:1.The transplanting characteristic of test-tube seedlings was different for varieties of hybrid Cymbidium.At 180 days after transplanted,the survival rate of C.‘Yu Xiang’ when they were transplanted in September,October and November was significantly higher than that in February,March and April,but for C.‘Hua Feng’,there was no significant difference.The survival rate and newborn leaves of C.‘Yu Xiang’ were significantly different by using different substrates and different colors of planting bags,but it was not significant for C.‘Hua Feng’.After 180 days,the survival rate of C.‘Yu Xiang’ transplanted by aquatic plants was 18.89%,which was higher than transplanted by bark and peat mixed matrix.The newborn leaves of C.‘Yu Xiang’ transplanted with black planting bags were significantly higher than white.The transplanting characteristic of C.‘Yu Xiang’ and C.‘Hua Feng’ was significantly different when put test-tube seedlings under different layers of shading net.At 180 days after transplanted,one layer of shading net had the highest survival rates,which were 68.89% and 83.33% respectively.The survival rate and new sprouts were also significantly different for different height of seedlings.The survival rate was 85.55%for 8 cm C.‘Yu Xiang’ when 180 days after transplanted,which was significantly higher than 6 cm(68.89%).And there were 0.59 new sprouts in a cup for 10 cm C.‘Hua Feng’,which were also significantly higher than 8cm.It could significantly improved the survival rate by spraying ‘Genjun’ for transplanted test-tube seedlings of hybrid Cymbidium.2.There were significant difference for varieties of hybrid Cymbidium on ramets reproduction.At one year after rameted,the survival rate of C.‘Yu Xiang’ was the highest(98.89%),followed by C.‘Gong Fen Jia Ren’(94.44%).Both of them were significantly higher than C.‘Xiao Feng’(83.33%).The new axillary buds of C.‘Gong Fen Jia Ren’ were highest(1.96 per cup),C.‘Yu Xiang’ followed(1.81 per cup)and C.‘Xiao Feng’ were lowest(1.63 per cup),which were not significant.Seedling height had a significant impact on ramets reproduction.C.‘Xiao Feng’ and C.‘Gong Fen Jia Ren’ worked best at 50 cm height,with the new axillary buds were significantly higher than 40 cm C.‘Xiao Feng’(2.65 per cup)and 60 cm C.‘Gong Fen Jia Ren’(1.96 per cup)after one year rameted.Time of ramification was also significant.At one year after rameted,the survival rate of C.‘Xiao Feng’ and C.‘Gong Fen Jia Ren’ which rameted before the Spring Festival were significantly higher than after.There was not significant difference by dring the roots and adding peanut shells to the substrate of C.‘Xiao Feng’ and C.‘Yu Xiang’.3.Spraying 6-BA was beneficial to the new axillary buds for hybrid Cymbidium,which related to the application concentration,application time and different years.The number of new axillary buds of C.‘Xiao Feng’,C.‘Gong Fen Jia Ren’ and C.‘Qing Zhou Xian Zi’ were significantly increased by spraying 6-BA.In C.‘Xiao Feng’.The number of new axillary buds which spraied 200mg/L 6-BA(0.4 per cup)was significantly higher than 100 mg/L.Besides,spraing 6-BA in October(2.54 per cup)was also significantly higher than August(0.4 per cup).Application in different years also laeded to different results.In addition,6-BA had a significant effect on flowering of C.‘Xiao Feng’,which made the number of flower branches increased,flowering branch became shorter and flowers became smaller.The above research shows,factors affecting the production of cup seedlings and ramet reproduction for hybrid Cymbidium were clarified,which laid a technical foundation for seedling production and the establishment of seedling propagation technology system of hybrid Cymbidium. |
