With the gradual deepening of foreign trade among countries,competition,mergers,digitization,and cost control have inevitably emerged among shipping companies.The competition among enterprises is ultimately a competition for talent,and more and more enterprises are aware of the importance of human resources for enterprises.Improving the quality of human resources cannot be separated from employee training,which requires a complete and implementable training system.This article takes the document clerks in the document center of CM Shipping Company as the research object to explore the optimization of their training system,which is of great significance for improving the competitiveness of the company and improving the intelligent level of document clerks.The paper uses a questionnaire survey to analyze the current situation and existing problems in the document center clerk training of CM Company and summarizes the reasons for this problem.Then,based on the relevant theories of competency model,using behavioral event interview method,through the analysis of relevant theories and the determination of competency elements,a competency model for the document center clerk of CM Company is established.Based on this model,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to optimize the training system in terms of optimizing the training needs analysis process,enriching training content for competency elements,improving the diversity of training forms,and standardizing training evaluation.Through a questionnaire survey,it was found that CM Company lacked clear training objectives,insufficient analysis of training needs,training methods that could not meet the needs of document clerks,and lack of evaluation of training effectiveness.Through behavioral event interviews,seven core competency elements were extracted,including basic knowledge,interpersonal communication,and logical thinking;As well as 8 basic competency elements such as foreign language ability,job skills,and problem solving ability,a total of 15 document clerk competency elements have been established,which further establishes the competency models for junior,intermediate,and senior document clerks of CM Company.Based on this competency model,it is possible to enrich training content based on competency elements,optimize training methods based on competency element categories,and conduct competency based training effectiveness evaluation.The optimized scheme can better improve the training effect of the document center clerk of CM Company and provide practical reference for other similar shipping enterprises to build a training system.
