Traditional settlements are the carriers to show the characteristics of regional culture,and ancient towns,as typical traditional settlements in China,also contain the atmosphere of thousands of years of history.In the context of rural revitalization,the development and construction of ancient towns are highly valued by the state,and the in-depth study of related research is of great significance to the sustainable development of China’s economy and society.However,under the impact of globalization and rapid urbanization,China’s ancient towns are facing many realistic problems such as convergence of appearance,lack of culture and fading characteristics,the essence of which is the lack of deep excavation of the landscape genes of ancient towns.In response to the above problems,this paper summarizes relevant studies through literature analysis,analyzes the use of feature deconstruction and extraction method and landscape gene "Cell-Chain-Shape" graphical expression method in the study of traditional settlement landscape genes,and proposes the construction of landscape gene mapping of ancient towns.The main findings of the study are as follows:(1)Analysis of traditional settlement,traditional settlement cultural genes and traditional settlement landscape genes,and establishment of the construction and activation method of landscape gene mapping in ancient towns as the theoretical and methodological basis of this study.(1)Integrating the components of the "Landscape Information Chain" theory and the "Cell-Chain-Shape" graphical expression of landscape genes,we propose the "Shape-Chain-Cell-Element" landscape structure element analysis method,which breaks down the landscape structure of the ancient town into four elements: landscape gene shape,landscape gene chain,landscape gene cell and landscape information element.(2)Based on the method of feature deconstruction and extraction,the method of "ShapeChain-Cell-Element" landscape structure analysis and relevant research cases,we propose the construction method of landscape gene mapping for ancient towns,and provide a method reference for systematically analyzing and summarizing the landscape genes of ancient towns.(3)Combining the general requirements and new requirements of rural revitalization strategy,based on the construction method of landscape gene mapping of ancient towns,a revitalization path model of ancient towns is established in order to comprehensively revitalize the cultural,ecological,morphological,social and business states of ancient towns,and provide methodological reference for the revitalization research of ancient towns.(2)Using the "Shape-Chain-Cell-Element" landscape structure analysis method and the construction method of landscape gene map of ancient towns,we constructed a landscape gene map of Luodai ancient town and laid the foundation for the revitalization study of Luodai ancient town.(1)Carry out the profile study of Luodai Ancient Town through literature analysis method and field survey method.(2)Based on the profile of Luodai ancient town,establish the landscape gene identification index system of Luodai ancient town,identify and extract the layout landscape genes,environmental landscape genes,architectural landscape genes and cultural landscape genes of Luodai ancient town.(3)Based on the identification and extraction of landscape genes of Luodai Ancient Town,the landscape gene shape map,landscape gene chain map,landscape gene cell map and landscape information meta-map of Luodai Ancient Town were constructed.(3)Combined with the ancient town revitalization path model,the revitalization path of Luodai ancient town is established based on the landscape gene mapping of Luodai ancient town.The revitalization of Luodai ancient town is divided into three steps:clarifying the cultural state,confirming the carrier and integrating the cultural state.The specific revitalization methods of "building an ecological and livable area based on cultural characteristics;integrating cultural elements to build the main position of the form;continuing cultural memory to activate the social service circle;and innovating cultural products to empower the business complex" are proposed to highlight the regional cultural characteristics of Luodai ancient town.Therefore,combining the research related to traditional settlement landscape genes,exploring the construction and activation methods of landscape genetic mapping in ancient towns is conducive to enriching the theory of traditional settlement landscape genes and providing theoretical methodological references for the sustainable development of ancient towns.The study on the construction and activation of landscape gene mapping of Luodai ancient town has practical significance for the development and construction of Luodai ancient town,and also provides case references for other ancient towns in China.
