| The Imperial Palace Site in Handan(also known as the Site of the Zhao Wang City)is the palace city site of the capital of the State of Zhao during the Warring States Period,and the most complete ancient city site of the Warring States Period known at present.Since 386 BC,when Marquis Jinghou of Zhao moved the capital to Handan,Zhao Wang City has been the palace city of the State of Zhao for 158 years.The square and orderly layout of the palace city not only reflects the planning idea of the State of Zhao in the construction of the capital,but also reflects the regional culture and the spirit of The Times.In recent years,as the domestic exploration and excavation of Zhao Wang City continue to make new achievements,the spatial layout of the King City is becoming clearer and clearer.Therefore,a systematic study on the spatial layout of Zhao Wang City and an in-depth discussion on its spatial characteristics and planning thoughts can provide reference ideas for the planning and layout of the capital city in the same period.At the same time,it also plays a stage summary role in the study of Zhaowangcheng site.In this thesis,"Zhao Wang City" is selected as the research object,with archaeological excavation data as the main evidence support,combined with relevant literature,history and local atlas and other materials,the spatial layout of the King City is sorted out and analyzed layer by layer,and the planning and layout characteristics of the King City space are summarized.By sorting out the historical context of the King city and combining with the status quo of the King City site,it is proposed that the King city is built in the sequence of West City,East City and small North City.Then,starting from the outer spatial form of the royal city,the thesis points out that the site selection of the royal city has the characteristics of "being near mountains and rivers","being on four sides" and "creating land",and that it creatively forms the layout mode of two cities separated from each other.Then,starting from the internal spatial structure of the royal city,the spatial elements of the royal city were classified and discussed in terms of walls and trenches,roads and water systems,water supply and drainage facilities,and architectural sites.In addition,various elements were sorted out step by step based on literature and field investigation.Finally,according to the above research results,the overall spatial layout characteristics of the royal city are comprehensively analyzed,and the preliminary conclusion is that the royal city is composed of four functional blocks,namely,"architectural site area","sacrificial activity area","palace garden area" and "military defense area",and several major features are summarized in the plane shape,architectural layout and defense design. |
