Study On The Site Selection And Spatial Form Of Wunv Mountain City In Koguryo Period

Wunv Mountain City in the period of Koguryo was the early capital of the ethnic minority regime in Northeast Asia.It is located on the Wunv Mountain in the northeast of Huanren Manchu Autonomous County,Benxi City,Liaoning Province.It served as the capital city for about 40 years from 37 B.C.to 3 A.D.After that,it gradually became the main place for the royal family to live and guard their ancestors and the western military defense of Koguryo.Due to the change of the main nature and function of the mountain city,the construction mode and spatial form of Wunv mountain city have also changed.The author to collect the related history books and archaeological data and field investigation results on the basis of data,at the macro level,from the function orientation,military defense,the factors of natural environment,society and so on,the macroscopic location characteristics and macro layout in the city of Wunv Mountain research,and compared with the location characteristics of the ancient city of the central plains region analysis,It is concluded that the site selection of Wunv Mountain City considers the complex terrain,hydrological environment,human environment and the distribution of surrounding mountain cities.On the meso level,starting from the functional orientation,military defense and natural environment,and based on the natural and cultural environment of the site selection of Wunv Mountain City,this paper analyzes the overall spatial morphological characteristics of the mountain city and its spatial morphological changes from the early to the middle and late period of Koguryo.The final spatial form of Wunv Mountain City is drawn by considering the distribution of natural resources,topography and landform,functional connection,defense lines,hierarchical thoughts,production and living needs,etc.,and the final spatial form map of Wunv Mountain City is drawn.At the micro level,from building group space and single factor,according to the classification of the ancient city of elements,classification and analyses the Wunv Mountain buildings in the city and the relationship between the space morphology and the function of infrastructure elements,including buildings and facilities layout and the relationship between macro mountain city layout,building space layout characteristics and buildings and facilities of the elements of the monomer space form and shape,etc.From the perspective of modern urban planning,this thesis studies the site selection and form of Wunv Mountain City,which not only enriches the research on the site selection and spatial form characteristics of the Wunv Mountain City from the perspective of archaeology and history,but also extends the research on the site selection and spatial form characteristics of the Wunv Mountain City in the period of Koguryo.Moreover,through several field investigations,the author collected and sorted out the basic data of the relevant elements of the Wunv Mountain City,which provided help for the further study of the Koguryeo Mountain City from the perspective of urban planning.
