In the context of urban stock renewal and consumption upgrading,vegetable markets have begun to receive attention in urban design as traditional public and consumption spaces in cities.However,along with the rise of new forms of urban daily life services,vegetable markets have gradually lost their vitality and have gradually failed to keep up with the pace of urban development.The core of symbiosis theory is the concept of inclusive coexistence,the connection between things.This study introduces this theory to provide a new research perspective on the contradictions and conflicts faced by the vegetable market space.In order to activate the spatial vitality of vegetable markets and solve the current problem of symbiosis with the city and new business models faced by vegetable markets.This study uses literature analysis,field research,cross research,and empirical analysis as the main research methods to evaluate the spatial vitality of the vegetable market and propose optimization strategies.Firstly,based on on-site research and selection criteria,select representative affiliated,independent,and street style vegetable markets,analyze the current situation of vegetable market symbiosis,and summarize the core issues that exist.On the basis of summarizing existing literature research,soliciting opinions from professional scholars,and considering the current situation of symbiosis in the vegetable market,collect evaluation indicators for the spatial vitality of the vegetable market based on symbiosis theory,and use questionnaire analysis to select evaluation indicators,thereby constructing an evaluation index system for the spatial vitality of the vegetable market based on symbiosis theory.The system has five potential variables,namely reachability,emotionality,coordination,participation and complexity,and 30 observation variables.Secondly,establish a structural equation model and input questionnaire data from three types of vegetable markets into the model to obtain the influence weights of potential variables and observation indicators,and conduct data analysis.Finally,based on the results of data analysis and the symbiotic status of the vegetable market,a principle for optimizing the spatial vitality of the vegetable market based on symbiosis theory is proposed,and strategies for optimizing the spatial vitality of the vegetable market based on symbiosis theory are proposed from three aspects: urban symbiosis,spatiotemporal symbiosis,and diversified symbiosis.The innovation points of the paper are as follows: firstly,a spatial vitality evaluation index system for vegetable markets based on symbiosis theory has been constructed;Secondly,a data model for evaluating the spatial vitality of vegetable markets has been established;Thirdly,a strategy for optimizing the spatial vitality of vegetable markets based on symbiosis theory was proposed.This study is based on the symbiosis theory to construct a vitality evaluation system,establish a data model,and propose vitality optimization strategies to stimulate the vitality of the vegetable market space,analyze feasible ways to regenerate the vitality of daily consumption space,and provide reference for future research on the vitality of urban public spaces.It has guiding significance for the optimization design of vegetable market space.
