| When vehicles drive out of highway tunnels in sunny day,the glare phenomenon caused by the strong light contrast inside and outside the tunnel is easy to cause obvious visual discomfort, which brings serious harm to drive safety. How to measure the impact of glare on driver’s vision in this scenario and propose corresponding improvement measures are the difficulties and research hotspots in the prevention of tunnel glare at present. From the perspective of glare prevention and safety, the paper uses visual experiments and simulation to evaluate and prevent glare at the exit of highway tunnels. The main contents and innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)The DGP model(Daylight Glare Probability)of tunnel exit glare evaluation is established. The calculation models of light source brightness, vertical illuminance, stereo angle and position index are analyzed, and the calculation method of glare index of tunnel exit is derived.(2)A darkroom simulation experiment of driving under the light environment of tunnel exit was designed to measure the visual perception of human eyes under different glare light source luminance, background luminance and distance from the glare light source, and the reaction time was used as the test index to clarify the effect of different light environments on the reaction time of human eyes at the tunnel exit.(3)The antiglare DGP threshold for tunnel exit is derived. To address the phenomenon of driver visual discomfort under glare conditions at the exit of highway tunnels, this paper applies the vehicle following model to study the impact of glare on driver driving safety and determines the DGP threshold value that is consistent with safe driving by combining the glare index value. The geometric parameters of the tunnel exit grating are designed and its anti-glare effect is verified by simulation. The model of cross-harbor tunnel exit grating is established, and the simulation calculates the glare value at the exit of the tunnel throughout the year, and the results show that the design scheme can meet the requirements of visual glare prevention. In this paper, the anti-glare evaluation method based on DGP index is an effective solution to solve the glare problem at tunnel entrances, and the application of glare index thresholds that meet the visual safety of tunnel exit drivers provides a theoretical basis for anti-glare shading design. |
