| With the development of urbanization entering the stage of quality and efficiency enhancement,the construction of metropolitan area has gradually become an important support for the high-quality construction of China’s cities and economic transformation and development.Xi’an metropolitan area,as the only approved metropolitan area in northwest China,is an important landing point for the implementation of China’s western development strategy.Regional economic vitality and road network structure are important components to enhance regional competitiveness.Therefore,an in-depth study of the coordinated relationship between economic vitality and road network structure of Xi’an metropolitan area and clarification of the coordinated development of both are of great significance to the integrated development of Xi’an metropolitan area.This paper takes the Xi’an metropolitan area as the research area,and the years 2016,2019 and 2022 as the research time points,and the coordinated matching measurement of economic vitality and road network structure in the Xi’an metropolitan area as the research purpose.Firstly,the spatial and temporal distribution patterns of nighttime lighting data and POI data are analyzed,and the economic vitality index is constructed based on the two data and analyze their spatial and temporal distribution.Secondly,starting from the road network structure of the metropolitan area,we establish road network closeness and road network betweenness indexes and analyze their spatial and temporal variation characteristics,and analyze the spatial correlation of road network structure indexes.Finally,the bivariate spatial autocorrelation analysis method and confidence band method are used to analyze the degree of coordination and matching between economic vitality and road network structure in the metropolitan area,to judge and identify the areas within the metropolitan area where economic construction and transportation construction are not matched.The results of the study are as follows:(1)The growth rate of economic vitality index of Xi’an metropolitan area from 2016 to 2019 is higher than the growth rate from 2019 to 2022,and the center of gravity of economic vitality shifts northward overall.(2)From 2016 to 2022,the global road network closeness values of the Xi’an metropolitan area steadily increase,and the high value areas of road network betweenness are mainly distributed in the central urban area of Xi’an in 2016 and spread to Xianyang main city in 2022;road network closeness and road network betweenness are significantly positively correlated in spatial distribution,and the high-high clustering areas of both are mainly concentrated in the central urban area of Xi’an,while the low-low clustering is scattered in the peripheral areas of the Xi’an metropolitan area.(3)From a microscopic perspective,the areas where transportation construction is ahead of economic construction are mainly concentrated in Gaoling District,Weicheng District,Huyi District,and Qindu District,and the scope of this area gradually decreases over time;the number of areas where transportation construction lags behind economic construction is very small,and is only distributed in parts of Yangling Demonstration Zone,Chang’an District,and Lantian County.(4)From a meso perspective,the number of areas where transportation is coordinated with the economy is relatively large and distributed in the periphery of the Xi’an metropolitan area,the number of areas where transportation "lags" behind the economy decreases over time and is mainly distributed in the core area of the Xi’an metropolitan area,and the number of areas where transportation "exceeds" economic development increases over time and is mainly distributed in the eastern and southern parts of the core area of the Xi’an metropolitan area. |
