| The practice of world economic and social development fully shows that transportation infrastructure is not only an important infrastructure of national economy,but also an important condition for the existence and normal development of national economic and social activities,as well as a leading industry of national economy.Transportation infrastructure plays an important supporting role in reducing trade costs and promoting national economic development.High-speed rail,as an important part of transportation infrastructure construction,is of great significance.In recent years,high-speed railway is known as the "blood artery" to accelerate the development of national economy.With the increasing improvement of people’s living standards and the rapid development of science and technology,the leapfrog development of highspeed railway has laid a solid foundation for the rapid development of China’s economy.At present,the "four vertical and four horizontal" high-speed rail network has been fully completed,and the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network is being formed,covering 92 percent of the country’s cities with a population of more than 500,000.China’s high-speed railway is developing rapidly with high quality and has made remarkable achievements.The development of high-speed rail has improved the accessibility between regions,making it easier for people to communicate face-toface.Based on the rapid development of "eight horizontal and eight vertical" high-speed railway network as the background,and from the perspective of the complexity of urban export technology,this paper describes the impact of high-speed railway development on China’s urban export trade.Firstly,this paper expounds the mechanism of highspeed rail influencing the technological complexity of urban export from the perspective of medium and long-term impact,and puts forward corresponding hypotheses according to the two impact mechanisms.In the medium and long term,the development of high-speed rail affects the innovation level of the city.By improving the production efficiency and r&d technology of enterprises,the technical level and quality of exported products are further improved,and the export technology complexity of the city is further enhanced.In terms of long-term impact,HSR promotes the aggregation of producer services to cities along HSR,forming knowledge spillover effect and economies of scale effect,thus affecting the technological complexity of cities’ export.Secondly,in this paper,the development level of high-speed rail and city export technical complexity after analyzing the current situation of the two main variables found that from the urban level,the high-speed development of our country and city export technical complexity of the development trend of roughly similar,are rising year by year and presents the eastern,central,western region the laws of diminishing.Finally,on the basis of theoretical mechanism and current situation analysis,the fixed-effect model is used to carry out benchmark regression on the sample data of 281 cities in China from 2007 to 2016,and to test the mechanism of two ways that high-speed rail development affects the export technology complexity of cities.In addition,an alternative interpretation of the core and the core variables of lag as instrumental variable method for robustness testing,and with reference to the National Bureau of Statistics,government information publicity division standard,the our country city is divided into eastern,central and western regions,the regional heterogeneity regression analysis further.In this paper,the research results show that overall,the high-speed development of city of our country export technology complexity significantly positive influence coefficient,indicates that high speed rail development can significantly improve export technical complexity in our country,and high-speed rail to enhance the level of city innovation and ways to promote the producer services cluster further influence city export technical complexity.Specifically,due to the uneven development level of highspeed railway construction and economic development in different regions of China,the impact of high-speed railway development on the eastern,central and western regions of China is quite different.Among them,the impact of high-speed rail development on the eastern and central regions is significantly positive,while the impact on the western regions is positive but not significant.The main reason is that the "eight horizontal and eight vertical" high-speed rail network does not cover most of the western regions,and there are still many cities without high-speed rail,so it is difficult to give full play to the economic effect brought by high-speed rail. |
