In the entire development process of an aviation engine control system,each stage requires comprehensive and thorough testing.These tests are crucial for verifying the accuracy of hydraulic and mechanical system characteristics and the correctness of electronic controller software and hardware.Physical circuit simulation and semi-physical testing are widely adopted as key verification methods for control systems.Therefore,establishing a universal and comprehensive real-time simulation platform has become extremely important.In this study,based on the National Instruments Veri Stand software and hardware equipment from a certain research institute,a universal real-time simulation platform was designed.Firstly,a component-level mathematical model was created for a certain turbofan engine,and the solving algorithm of the engine model was extensively studied,verifying the solving performance of the improved whale optimization algorithm and the hybrid algorithm in practical applications.Next,the overall structure,hardware equipment principle,selection and configuration,characteristic parameters,and functions of the simulation tester were described in detail.Furthermore,the model encapsulation and real-time loading process of the NI Veri Stand software were studied,and the engine model based on Simulink was encapsulated using Lab VIEW.By developing a Veri Stand custom device driver,the software functions of the Veri Stand deployment project were extended,and the overall construction of the real-time layer software of the simulation test platform was completed.In addition,an operation and monitoring platform for the real-time simulation upper computer was developed using Lab VIEW.Finally,the effectiveness of the simulation platform was validated through hardware-inthe-loop(HIL)testing.Real-time fault injection tests were conducted to address the fault detection requirements of the engine electronic controller(EEC).The study shows that the realtime simulation platform can conduct comprehensive and effective simulation tests on the control system and has effective testing capabilities for common operations and fault situations during aviation engine operation.The real-time performance,accuracy,and stability of the real-time simulation platform meet the technical requirements of the design.
