| With the popularization and development of higher education,the scale and quantity of university buildings are increasing.At present,the construction of colleges and universities in China has turned from extensive to high quality,and campus construction has entered a new stage of self-renewal and gradual improvement.By adjusting the external space of university buildings,it has become one of the important topics in the planning,construction and development of university campuses to create an external space system suitable for teachers and students in universities.Combined with the historical,phased and current situation of university construction in China,the research area is set in Xi ’an,Shaanxi Province,and the Yanta Campus of Xi ’an University of Architecture and Technology is selected as the research object of this paper.Based on the post-use evaluation system,this paper studies the use of external space in simple university buildings.Through this study,we can provide empirical data for the external space design of the school,improve the functional needs,give targeted design schemes,and provide reference for the external space design of other universities.Firstly,it reveals the importance and characteristics of the external space of university buildings.Through the investigation and analysis of the research status at home and abroad,it summarizes the research theory and practical achievements of the external space of university buildings in recent years.Under the guidance of the theory of environmental behavior,it establishes a demand-oriented research system of the external space of university buildings.Secondly,it puts forward the basic guiding ideology and general principles of the external space design of university buildings.By using the methods of literature study,field investigation,analogy analysis,qualitative analysis,quantitative analysis and PSPL investigation,the overall characteristics and design principles of the external space of university buildings are deeply analyzed from the real feelings of users through the study of the basic theory of university campus,the theoretical basis of the external space of university buildings and the theory of environmental behavior.Thirdly,discuss the method of shaping the external space of university buildings.Based on the research project of campus master plan of Yanta Campus of Xi ’an University of Architecture and Technology,this paper focuses on a series of building external spaces on campus,and systematically analyzes five aspects,such as public squares,living nodes,study courtyards,sports venues and traffic roads,so as to form a direct and effective method to optimize and transform the building external space,so as to give the campus new vitality and make it continue its historical context while meeting the use requirements.Finally,the corresponding design principles and specific optimization design strategies are proposed.Combined with the specific analysis and law summary above,from the macroscopic reasonable planning,meso functional collocation,and microscopic local details,the problems of the external space of the building of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology Yanta Campus were deeply considered,and from the dimension and perspective of urban planning and architectural design,the design principles of easy identification,multi-level,demand-oriented and holistic design of the external space of the Yanta Campus of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology were summarized,and corresponding design strategies were proposed for each major type of public space.At the same time,specific renovation and optimization suggestions are put forward for each space,which provides a basis for the subsequent optimization design of the external space of the building of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology Yanta Campus,and better meets the actual needs of space users.Taking the external space of university buildings as the breakthrough point,this paper explores the methods and ways to optimize the environmental quality of the external space of university buildings,and establishes the optimal design strategy of the external space of university campus,which has important practical significance and social value for promoting the construction of universities and improving the image of universities. |
