Abstract/Summary:
As China fully enters an aging society, the demand for aging products such as wheelchairs for the elderly is gradually increasing. At present, the basic functions of elderly wheelchair products on the market have become increasingly mature, but there is a general lack of comprehensive consideration and in-depth research on the needs of elderly wheelchair users in design, and the user satisfaction of the products urgently needs to be improved.Implicit needs exist in the subconscious of users and are a key factor in improving user satisfaction.Reasonable application in product design can greatly improve user satisfaction. However, implicit needs cannot be well perceived by users,so professional guidance and analysis are needed to accurately extract them. This article first divides elderly wheelchair users into direct riders and indirect pushers based on the original KANO model, and extracts the implicit needs of user perspectives by weighting based on the characteristics of the sample data of the two types of users.Subsequently, using elderly wheelchair patents as the data source,by predicting the current lifecycle of elderly wheelchair products and using MPV tools as an intermediate bridge, implicit demand extraction from the product perspective was carried out from the corresponding MPVs in the current lifecycle stage.Secondly, guided by the theory of technological system evolution in TRIZ theory, the problem was solved by selecting the corresponding technological system evolution rules for the product lifecycle, combining with current user satisfaction to screen implicit needs, and obtaining a design solution strategy for implicit needs.Under the design solution strategy, the main design solution of "main system + segmentation subsystem mode" was proposed, and three specific design sketch schemes were further derived.Through the screening and refinement of design sketch schemes, the design practice of elderly wheelchair products was carried out. Finally,an overall evaluation was conducted using the Delphi survey method and usability indicators as evaluation criteria, confirming the effectiveness of wheelchair design practices for elderly people based on implicit needs. This study focuses on improving user satisfaction of elderly wheelchair products as the core design goal.and constructs a design route for implicit needs. This process can be used for future innovative and optimized design of elderly wheelchair products, and has certain application value.
