Enterprises are expanding in size and business and forming groups.For the needs of the group’s business development,a centralized management approach is adopted for funds.The more mature and advanced of this approach is the finance company model,which is essentially a non-bank financial institution that relies on the group to provide fund management and financial services for the group.However,because of the relatively short time of introducing finance companies in China,the relevant concept is not perfect;the epidemic has given a big cooling to the world economy,and the group’s operation has been hit;many instabilities in the financial industry,finance companies are facing more and more risks,and more importantly,the CBIRC has introduced new management methods in 2022 to step up supervision.Based on this situation,there is a certain necessity to conduct a study on the finance company model in centralized capital management.The thesis is to first sort out the research on centralized capital management in terms of types,selection basis,operation content,effect evaluation and optimization measures through literature research method.The thesis then takes Midea Group as a case study to study its centralized fund management model,its operation contents and effects.In detail,the case study first introduces Midea Group,with its centralized capital management model as a finance company,and analyzes the motivation for adopting this model as adapting to the group strategy,avoiding capital risks,making reasonable allocation of capital and promoting the integration of production and finance,etc.,and also introduces the operation of the finance company.Next,we focus on the operation process of Midea Group Finance Company,analyzing in turn,including five aspects of internal management,fund collection,fund settlement,investment and financing,and fund risk control.Then,based on this,we design the operation effect evaluation system and use hierarchical analysis method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to study the operation effect of its centralized fund management.The shortcomings in talent building,internal environment,fund pooling,financing,foreign exchange and credit risk management were found,and the specific performance of the problems were further studied through data such as fund pooling rate,deposit to loan ratio and credit impairment loss.The reasons for the analysis of the deficiencies may be the increasingly stringent regulation of the industry,the severe external economic environment and the immaturity of the short time of its own development.In response to the above problems and causes,corresponding optimization suggestions are made around the changes of the new approach,such as paying attention to talent team building,improving internal environment management,strengthening corporate finance management and improving risk control ability and other optimization measures.The thesis is divided into five parts from the perspective of the operation process and capital flow of finance companies,and based on this,the evaluation system of the innovative operation effect is novel and comprehensive,highlighting the key points and fitting the case.The final proposed measures are up-to-date,innovative and relevant to the new situation.We hope to give some inspirations to enterprises with similar situations on how to improve the operation effect of centralized fund management in the new situation.
