At the end of 2019,the sudden novel coronavirus pneumonia swept across the world,bringing a significant impact on the world economy.The catering industry was severely hit by the epidemic and faced a winter period of business.By the end of 2022,with the concerted efforts of the government and people all over the country,the novel coronavirus pneumonia has been effectively controlled and gradually improved.However,affected by the epidemic in the past three years,people’s lifestyle,diet,daily living,consumption concept and many other aspects have changed.In view of the above problems,in addition to the catering enterprises themselves need to make countermeasures,from the perspective of catering space,to explore how to respond to the changes of The Times and environment through space design and meet the needs of consumers,so that catering enterprises revitalize,out of the economic winter period.This is the main content of this topic.The paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which introduces the research background,research purpose,research significance,research content and research methods.The second part is the explanation of related concepts and the analysis of the excellent dining space design cases at home and abroad in the post-epidemic era.The third part is the study of the design strategy of catering space in the post-epidemic era.From the design principle,design thinking,design strategy three aspects of the discussion.The fourth part is the practical operation of the case,applying the research results of the first three parts to the practical project.The fifth part is the summary of the conclusion.This paper expounds the concept of the post-epidemic era and catering space.According to the changes of consumers’ psychological and behavioral characteristics when eating under the influence of the epidemic,it analyzes consumers’ demands for comfort,safety and function of the catering space in the post-epidemic era,and summarizes and sorts out some existing problems in the catering space.Then the design strategy of catering space in the post-epidemic era is obtained.From the Angle of human nature,the article illustrates the importance of human in the space environment.Finally through the design to meet the restaurant physical empty.
