In the global fossil energy reserves scarce,the world’s increasingly stringent automobile emissions standards,the new energy vehicle market demand.Also,in the practice of mass customization(MC)and manufacturing globalization,it is found that Product Lifecycle Management(PLM)and Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP)systems encounter many problems in Bill of Material(Bom)data Management,such as data usability,consistency and correctness.These problems will have a negative impact on product quality,production efficiency,cost and other factors.This paper summarizes the basic requirements in BOM data management,using the practical issues of BOM management for new energy vehicle products as a starting point.With a single data source as the implementation target,the paper solves problems of timeliness,accuracy,and consistency in BOM data management within the enterprise’s full business chain.The paper focuses on the following aspects:(1)Building a configuration BOM structure based on product families and proposing a unified material coding method for the entire business chain.The paper explains the construction method and principle of the configuration BOM based on product families,constructing a configuration BOM management system for product families.It also details the configuration BOM calculation logic,forming a complete configuration management system.This allows for integrated management of planning,engineering,production,and sales,bridging the planning-to-production process of the entire vehicle production process,enabling users to customize their needs to correspond to production and sales.Additionally,the paper proposes a modular management method for addressing component module substitution in BOM management,combining mass customization development and design technology with metadata management technologies and applying them in practice.(2)Building a BOM model for the entire business chain and describing the early generation process of BOM.The paper further describes the specific method for converting early BOM to engineering BOM.Based on the actual business needs of each business department,the BOM information required by each business department was presented,and a BOM conversion scheme for EBOM for different business departments was proposed.Moreover,due to the increasing importance of controller software in new energy vehicles,and the accompanying high management difficulty arising from frequent software changes,the paper also introduces software BOM management,providing a software BOM structure and a design process scheme for the software BOM.(3)After building a BOM model for the entire business chain,the paper also implements change management for the entire business chain.The paper briefly outlines the overall framework of change management and proposes a universal process for enterprise-level change management.Through the implementation of change management,the entire business chain can be managed for changes,thus better controlling the product lifecycle while improving the enterprise’s production efficiency and quality management level.
