Digital watershed is one of the important topics of digital twinning,facing the upsurge of digitization and information technology,it also puts forward new requirements: the new generation of information and communication technology is deeply integrated with watershed monitoring and management,the establishment of digital twinning watershed,and the realization of precise simulation of watershed simulation and intelligent management decision.For digital twinning,in order to realize the mutual mapping and connection between virtual world and real world data,virtual world with high simulation is essential.Virtual world is mainly composed of three elements: simulator,virtual environment and interactive device,of which virtual environment is the most important part.Virtual environment is a kind of three-dimensional scene generated by computer,which provides the basis for visual simulation.In visual simulation,the real feeling of virtual environment is very important and can determine the effect of visual simulation,so scene modeling is the most important thing.This paper is to study how to use geographic information data combined with game engine development on the basis of traditional modeling methods to build a dynamic high simulation wetland virtual scene.While developing the virtual three-dimensional scene of wetland,users can be shown more abundant wetland natural feature information than the two-dimensional image,so as to realize the multidimensional information display of wetland scene.Constructing virtual wetland scene is also a necessary link to build the base of digital twin wetland model.How to use geographic information data acquisition,three-dimensional modeling and game engine technology to achieve high precision construction of virtual wetland,and how to use a variety of virtual experience methods to achieve high simulation and dynamic simulation experience of wetland scene is the main problem to be solved in this paper.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The complex geographical characteristics of Poyang Lake wetland and the difficulties brought by these characteristics for the development of virtual wetland scene were summarized,and the Nanjishan wetland area was selected as the main virtual scene construction area to build a virtual three-dimensional scene of Poyang Lake wetland.This research result can be applied to the digital twinning world of Poyang Lake wetland,as the scene base with virtual visualization data and the technical reference of digital twinning watershed.(2)In view of the characteristics of diverse wetland ecosystem types,complex structure,obvious spatial differentiation and rich species diversity,topographic point cloud data,wetland vegetation camera materials and surface texture materials of Nanjishan wetland area were collected on the spot,and a highly simulated virtual wetland scene was developed and constructed by using these multivariate data and game engine.(3)Using the advantages of game engine to develop virtual scenes,the simulation of seasonal change and dynamic simulation of water level rise and fall of virtual wetland was realized.The game engine blueprint is used to develop and realize the interaction between the internal elements of the wetland scene.(4)Output the constructed Virtual wetland scene into diversified virtual experience forms.Users can choose web page form,headset wearing device and Cave(Automatic Virtual Environment)system to enrich users’ virtual experience.The workflow of virtual scene construction of Poyang Lake wetland can be applied to all similar geographical scenes,and the blueprint rules written in scene development can also be continued to be used in other parts of Poyang Lake wetland,and can be applied to the construction of digital twin watershed in the future.
