Chinese traditional wooden structure dwellings are the wisdom of the broad masses of working people through continuous practice and exploration.It is a valuable material and cultural heritage resource in China.We contemporary people must protect,inherit and carry forward it.The seismic damage of traditional wooden structure dwellings in the vast rural areas of China is also very serious.Therefore,this paper studies the seismic reinforcement measures of nodes and components of traditional wooden structure dwellings,in order to protect Chinese traditional wooden structure dwellings,ensure the safety of rural wooden structure dwellings,and provide reference for rural revitalization.Based on this,this paper first tested the physical and mechanical properties of wood(Yunnan pine)and reinforcement materials;secondly,a total of 6 joint specimens of three types of tenon,dovetail tenon and half tenon were designed and manufactured according to the typical tenon joint style in southwest China.Before the reinforcement of each type of joint specimen,low-cycle reciprocating loading test was carried out to study its mechanical properties and failure characteristics.On this basis,combined with the distribution position of each mortise and tenon joint in a single timber frame,the suitable reinforcement parts are designed,and the designed reinforcement parts are installed on the mortise and tenon joint to carry out low-cycle reciprocating loading test,and the seismic performance indexes of each mortise and tenon joint before and after reinforcement are studied.Finally,the BFRP sheet was used to reinforce the timber members,and the axial compression test of the timber column and the shear performance test of the timber beam were carried out to study the seismic performance before and after reinforcement.The main work of this paper is:1.This paper combs the failure modes and traditional reinforcement methods of mortise and tenon joints and components of traditional timber structure houses,sorts out the research status and achievements of reinforcement of timber structure joints and components at home and abroad,and puts forward the main research contents of this paper in combination with the actual situation of the demonstration sites.2.The material property test of Yunnan pine and reinforcement materials was carried out to test the relevant physical and mechanical indexes.Through consulting data and field investigation,the mortise and tenon joint style was determined,and six full-scale specimens of three types of tenon,dovetail tenon and half tenon were designed and manufactured.In order to study the mechanical properties and failure characteristics of various joint specimens,one specimen was used to carry out low-cycle reciprocating loading test.3.Based on the failure characteristics and distribution position of each mortise-tenon joint,a multi-stage buckling energy dissipation brace is proposed to reinforce the mortise-tenon joint,an outrigger metal damper to reinforce the dovetail joint,and a steel bar to reinforce the semi-tenon joint.The reinforcements were designed and installed on the corresponding mortise-tenon joints to carry out low-cycle reciprocating loading tests.The seismic performance parameters such as hysteresis curve,skeleton curve,stiffness degradation curve,tenon pullout capacity and energy dissipation capacity of each mortise-tenon joint before and after reinforcement were studied.4.The timber members were strengthened with basalt fiber reinforced polymer(BFRP)sheets,and the axial compression test of timber columns and the shear performance test of timber beams were carried out before and after strengthening.The test shows that BFRP sheet reinforced wood members can effectively suppress the influence of natural defects(cracks,knots,voids,etc.)on the bearing capacity of wood members,improve the bearing capacity and ductility of wood columns,inhibit the shear failure of wood beams in the shear span section,improve the shear bearing capacity of wood beams,and enhance the seismic performance of wood members.5.This paper expounds the principle of repair and reinforcement of timber structure residential buildings and the installation process of mortise and tenon joint reinforcement parts,and puts forward the method of strengthening non-structural joints with traditional reinforcement methods.Finally,the construction technology,process,operation points and structural requirements of BFRP sheet reinforced wood members are introduced.
