As an important means of transportation in today’s cities,the subway not only effectively alleviates urban traffic congestion,but also conforms to the modern green concept of low-carbon transportation.With the rapid development of China’s aging population,the trend of feminization of the elderly population is becoming increasingly evident.Gender has become an important variable in population aging research,which has also led to the increasing inconvenience of elderly women in the current public space of subway stations.Based on the above background,this thesis starts from a female perspective and takes the subway station space in Liwan District,Guangzhou,where the population aging is concentrated,as the research object to study gender differences in the elderly population and analyze the aging needs in the subway station space.The public space in the subway station area,as an important component of the city,radiates and affects the urban space with the subway station as the center,and has a significant impact on the landscape around the station area.Based on the research on the public space of Guangzhou Metro station,this thesis aims at a series of problems and deficiencies existing in the activities of elderly women in the space of the subway station,and discusses the landscape transformation design strategy of the public space of the subway station in the future.First of all,through the field research and literature research on the station space of Guangzhou Metro,this thesis puts forward 15 demand indicators of elderly women for the subway station space,and issues survey questionnaires to the elderly women users of Guangzhou Metro.The questionnaire is analyzed by using the Better Worse coefficient analysis of the KANO model demand analysis method,and puts forward the basic design principles of the four dimensions of accessibility,comfort,safety and readability of the elderly women’s subway station space.Secondly,based on four basic design principles,a landscape renovation design strategy for subway station space from the perspective of elderly women is proposed from the 10 minute basic pedestrian circle and the 6minute key pedestrian area.The 10 minute basic walking circle strategy proposes a time-sharing landscape scene design strategy under the spatiotemporal behavior mode,a special care space design for elderly women,and a sensory care landscape detail design.The 6-minute key pedestrian circle is divided into five types of subway station area spaces: residential comprehensive type,park green space type,cultural and educational type,commercial comprehensive type,and transportation comprehensive type.Five types of subway station area landscape transformation design strategies are summarized.Finally,according to the five types of subway station landscape reconstruction design strategies,the landscape reconstruction design practice is carried out for the station space of Huangsha station,Tanwei station,Chen Clan Academy station,Kengkou Station and Jiaokou station of Liwan District subway.In combination with the actual station space status,the design focus of different types of subway station space is reflected.I hope that the research in this thesis can provide practical references for the transformation of future subway station space in response to the needs of elderly women in China,and provide certain reference significance for the design of subway station space from the perspective of women.
