| The agricultural market is an important guarantee for people’s livelihoods. With the development of urbanization in China, population mobility, and urban construction, the existing agricultural markets are gradually unable to meet the needs of surrounding residents. The surrounding transportation, service facilities, supply capacity, and internal environment of the farmers’ market affect consumers’ feelings and the satisfaction of their living needs. The new urban area of Xi’an is located in the core area of Xi’an.Most of the existing farmers’ markets were built in the 1990 s,which are essential facilities for ensuring residents’ lives. However, there is a situation where the planning is outdated and cannot meet the needs of surrounding residents well. This article takes the agricultural trade market in the new urban area of Xi’an as the research object, and analyzes its current situation and characteristics through literature review, research and visits;Construct a layout model and propose a comprehensive evaluation system for site selection to evaluate the existing agricultural trade market in the new urban area of Xi’an City;On this basis, propose a facility planning plan;Based on this research theory,a case study is conducted in the Houzaimen Agricultural Trade Market. The paper conducts research according to the following content:First,it defines the concepts related to this article, such as government functions, agricultural markets, and updated design, and then combs out the space syntax, analytic hierarchy process, central place theory and demand hierarchy theory used in this study to provide theoretical basis for subsequent research;Then,on-site research, data organization, and interviews with residents and merchants were conducted on the current situation of the new urban agricultural trade market. The service scope, surrounding population density, and distribution of commercial supermarkets of the new urban agricultural trade market were sorted out,and the location, spatial, functional, and traffic flow characteristics of the new urban agricultural trade market were analyzed. On this basis, the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)was used to select and analyze the evaluation indicators for site selection and supplementation of agricultural trade markets in the new urban area. Then,a structured AHP model was constructed, and the weights of the indicators were determined through expert questionnaires using Li Ke’s table method. Then,a comprehensive evaluation of site selection and allocation of fourteen agricultural trade markets in the new urban area was conducted. On this basis, combined with the actual situation of Xi’an City, the impact of policy norms on the layout of agricultural markets was analyzed from the perspectives of building height, traditional protection, and cultural inheritance. The spatial syntax was used to analyze the plot ratio, mixed land use rate, connection value, integration, and comprehensibility of the existing agricultural market distribution.Based on the analysis results,an overall layout optimization plan was proposed and the effect analysis was conducted.Under the framework of overall layout optimization, specific plans are proposed from five aspects: traffic flow lines, parking areas, functional division, shopping flow lines, and channel stall settings, and the expected effects of the updated plan are analyzed. Finally,a representative Houzaimen market was selected for application validation.Using the updated planning plan proposed in this study, four specific implementation plans are proposed from the perspectives of optimizing traffic flow lines, guiding the diversion of surrounding parking, scientifically organizing functional areas, and optimizing channel stalls. The evaluation results before and after the implementation plan are compared and analyzed. This study focuses on the rapid development of cities in China and the lagging planning of agricultural markets. It selects the agricultural market in the new urban area of Xi’an as the object, and focuses on theoretical research and application verification of the renewal of agricultural markets from the perspectives of site selection, comprehensive evaluation, and facility planning. This can provide reference for the renewal of agricultural markets in the new urban area of Xi’an,and the research content has reference significance for the planning of urban agricultural market facilities. |
