As a key link in road engineering design and construction, the design of highway alignment is not only related to the difficulty and cost of the project, but also directly affects the safety and comfort of driving.Currently, due to the development of computer technology and design concepts, highway alignment design mainly adopts the method of projecting three-dimensional alignments onto two-dimensional planes, and then obtaining three-dimensional alignments by combining horizontal and vertical lines through software. This design method artificially converts the three-dimensional linear shape of the space into a two-dimensional linear shape in isolation.Due to the neglect of the coupling effect between the horizontal and vertical design elements, some design defects were not discovered in a timely manner during the design process, resulting in frequent accidents during the later highway operation process.BIM technology is a multi-dimensional model information integration technology developed on the basis of CAD technology, integrating cloud computing, big data, the Internet, the Internet of Things and other technologies. It has three-dimensional visualization, collaborative design, parametric design and other related technical advantages.Applying BIM technology to highway engineering is not only beneficial for optimizing design schemes and project management, but also for improving engineering quality while reducing costs and safety risks, injecting new vitality into the development of highway engineering related industries. Therefore,it is of great significance to introduce BIM technology into highway engineering to solve the dynamic integration problem of horizontal and vertical three-dimensional design in the process of highway alignment design, and to achieve the three-dimensional dynamic integration of highway alignment design. This article applies BIM technology to highway alignment design, and studies the highway alignment design method based on the highway engineering design BIM system, and applies it to practical engineering.Based on the fuzzy extension analytic hierarchy process, establish a safety evaluation index system for two-lane highways. Finally, the BIM technology is combined with the evaluation index system to complete the design and safety evaluation of the two-lane highway alignment scheme. The main research content and conclusions are as follows:(1)Analyzed and studied the differences between 2D CAD technology and 3D BIM technology.Through research on the development process, technical characteristics, and practical application, the differences in mainstream highway engineering BIM design software were analyzed. Finally, the highway engineering design BIM system was selected as the core modeling software of this article.(2)Use the BIM system for highway engineering design to create a three-dimensional ground model, combine the wire method and line element method for planar linear design, use intelligent slope pulling and manual adjustment methods for vertical section design, and summarize the linear design process of the BIM system for highway engineering design.Based on the newly built highway on the Shuibao Line, the BIM system for highway engineering design is utilized to complete the three-dimensional linear design scheme of a two-lane highway.(3)Based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, analytic hierarchy process, and extension theory,10 evaluation indicators are selected, including the ratio of single vertical curve rate to average vertical curve rate, curvature difference of adjacent sections, and operating speed ratio of adjacent sections.A two-lane highway linear safety evaluation index system is established, and an extension judgment matrix of the evaluation index system is created to calculate the weights of each evaluation indicator,And establish a membership function for the safety evaluation indicators of two-lane highways based on the judgment criteria of each evaluation indicator, thereby completing the safety evaluation of two-lane highways.(4)Combining the BIM based three-dimensional linear design scheme for two-lane highways with the fuzzy extension analytic hierarchy process based safety evaluation system for two-lane highways, calculating the degree of highway safety evaluation membership for each linear design scheme, and comparing the calculation results with relevant research results.Using methods such as linear safety index,three-dimensional curvature and torsion change rate of highways, and corresponding relationship with traffic accident rate, etc,Verified the scientificity and accuracy of the safety evaluation index system for the two-lane highway.
