The masonry structure itself has shortcomings such as incomplete functionality,low tensile and shear strength,and poor seismic performance.Due to the long service time of historical buildings,the seismic performance of buildings cannot meet the requirements of the new seismic code,due to its own historical and cultural value and architectural art value,it cannot be demolished and rebuilt,therefore,it is necessary to conduct seismic safety assessment and subsequent reinforcement treatment on such historical buildings to extend their service life.The Bishop Building of Zhongyuan Institute of Technology Zhongyuan Campus is one of the first batch of historical buildings in Zhengzhou City,this article takes the Bishop Building of Zhongyuan Institute of Technology Zhongyuan Campusin Zhengzhou City,research on Seismic Performance of Masonry Historical Buildings after Seismic Evaluation and Reinforcement,the research results can provide reference for seismic reinforcement and renovation of historical buildings similar to multi-story masonry structures,The research content can be divided into the following aspects:(1)Conduct seismic evaluation of buildings based on current survey results and original construction data,identify the main defects in the structure.Establishing a structural model using PKPM,based on comparing the building information with the code requirements,assess the construction practices,structural bearing capability,and safety of the teaching facility,calculate the comprehensive seismic capacity index and use PKPM to recheck and calculate the seismic bearing capacity of buildings,seismic appraisal results are obtained,select reinforcement design methods and conduct structural analysis and foundation review calculations to prepare for structural reinforcement.(2)Combined with identification analysis results,identify the problems that exist in each component,the main defect of the building is that the strength of the brick walls and masonry mortar is too low,resulting in the overall seismic performance of the building not meeting the requirements of the specifications,considering the unique nature of historical buildings with masonry structures,reinforcement and renovation of load-bearing brick walls using two reinforcement methods: reinforced concrete slab wall reinforcement or steel mesh cement mortar reinforcement.(3)Develop multiple reinforcement plans based on different reinforcement methods and surface thickness,simulate and analyze the reinforcement effects of two reinforcement methods and different surface thicknesses using PKPM software,and verify the seismic bearing capacity of the reinforced wall section using the formula required by the specifications,the calculation results indicate that when using steel mesh cement mortar to reinforce brick walls,after some wall sections have been reinforced and renovated,their seismic bearing capacity still does not meet the requirements of the specifications;when reinforced with reinforced concrete slab walls,the comprehensive seismic bearing capacity of the weak floors of the building meets the requirements of the specifications,and the seismic bearing capacity of each wall section meets the requirements of the specifications.Combining the applicable conditions of various component reinforcement methods and the characteristics of the building itself,determine the optimal reinforcement plan and provide detailed reinforcement drawings for each node.Using PKPM software for ASEISMIC calculation and second-level ASEISMIC calculation of structures,and compare the seismic performance of historical buildings with multi story masonry structures before and after reinforcement,the calculation results indicate that the seismic resistance of the reinforced multi-layer masonry structure has been greatly improved,the comprehensive seismic capacity index meets the requirements of the specifications,and the reinforcement and renovation have achieved the expected results.
