A Study On The Inheritance And Development Of Tang Dynasty Architectural Style In Modern Times

Under the current premise that the state vigorously advocates the promotion of the nation’s excellent culture and constantly enhances cultural confidence,profound reflection on modernist architecture and the promotion of excellent traditional architectural culture have become important issues that architects must seriously consider and choose to face.The thesis takes the Tang style architecture in the Guanzhong region as the main object of study,and focuses on the inheritance and development of the Tang architectural style in modern times.The thesis is divided into five main parts:The first part mainly clarifies the purpose and significance of the thesis research,while combing through the current situation of relevant research at home and abroad,briefly outlines the research content and research methods of the thesis,and establishes the basic framework of the research.In the second part,the development of ancient Chinese architecture is divided into three important stages from the perspective of architectural style characteristics.The first is the period from the ancient times to the Sui and Tang dynasties,which is the origin and foundation of the Tang architectural style;the second is the period of the establishment and perfection of the Tang architectural style;and the second is the period of the development and variation of the Tang architectural style during the Song,Liao and Jin dynasties and the Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties.The third section reveals the main influences on the formation of the Tang architectural style at four levels: ideological,natural,cultural and technological.On this basis,the basic features of Tang architecture are sorted out and summarized,based on the design of external space,group design,monolithic design and detailed construction.The fourth part is the core part of the thesis.On the basis of summarising the main factors influencing the inheritance and development of the Tang architectural style in modern times,the basic situation of Tang-style architecture in the Guanzhong region is sorted out,and typical examples of Tang-style architecture from different periods are analysed to summarise their design ideas and characteristics.It then compares and analyses Tang Dynasty timber architecture with modern Tang style architecture in terms of arch structure,plan layout,architectural colours,building materials and other detailed structures,and reveals the basic paths and specific manifestations of the inheritance and development of Tang style architecture in modern times.The fifth section looks at the future development strategies and trends of Tang style architecture from a macro perspective,and points out that green building technologies,as well as the application of new materials,technologies and diverse creative techniques,will provide new creative ideas for the further development of Tang style architecture in the future.Through the modern inheritance and development of the Tang style,the future direction and trends of Tang style architecture can be further clarified,which can point the way to the creation of Tang style architecture in Guanzhong and other places in China.
