Spatio-Temporal Evolution And Influencing Factors Analysis Of Trade-Off Intensity Among Hubei Province Territorial Space Function Based On The Production-Living-Ecological Perspective

With the continuous progress of urbanization and industrialization,the pattern of territorial space has also produced drastic changes,leading to a series of problems such as loss of high-quality arable land,ecological and environmental damage,and regional development disorders,which seriously affect the development of normal human production and living activities,and the relationship between regional socio-economic development and territorial space protection has become increasingly tense.In this context,it is important to balance the relationship between human activities and geographic space,and to clarify the changes in the functions of different territorial space and their interactions in order to carry out regional territorial space planning and management.Therefore,this paper takes Hubei province as the research area,follows the logical framework of "function evaluation-quantified relationship-factor identification",firstly,based on the sorting out of the logical relationship of the production-living-ecology functions of territorial space and the analysis of its connotation,we construct the evaluation system of the territorial space functions with the help of multi-source data and evaluate the production-living-ecology functions based on the grid scale.Secondly,the root means square error(RMSE)model is used to quantitatively identify the production-living function,production-ecology function,and living-ecology function trade-off intensity,and the spatial evolution characteristics between the two functions are explored with the help of cold hotspot analysis.Finally,based on the principles of scientificity and data availability,the drivers of territorial space functions are selected from three dimensions: natural resource factors,location factors,and socio-economic factors,and the key drivers of the trade-off intensity among territorial space function are investigated with the help of geographic detector model.The main results of this paper are as follows:(1)From 2000 to 2020,the overall trend of production and ecological functions in Hubei Province is weakening,with the proportion of "high" and "medium" production areas changing significantly,while the proportion of "low" and "very low" areas is relatively stable,and the overall spatial pattern has a distribution of "high in the middle and low around".The proportion of "high","medium","low" and "very low" ecological function areas varies significantly,and the spatial layout The overall distribution pattern is "high around,low in the middle".The overall improvement in living function is remarkable,especially the change in the proportion of "middle","low" and "very low" areas are prominent,and the overall spatial layout shows a decrease centered on the main city of Wuhan.(2)During the study period,the intensity of the production-living function trade-off is characterized by a "Λ"-shaped evolution,and the spatial layout shows an "expansion of low-value areas and contraction of high-value areas",especially in the central and western parts of Suizhou City and the main urban area of Wuhan City.The intensity of production-ecological function trade-offs and the intensity of living-ecological function trade-offs have similar patterns of change,both showing an inverted "N"-shaped trend,but the spatial distribution pattern differs significantly,with the intensity of production-ecological function trade-offs showing a distribution pattern of "high in the middle and low around";the intensity of living-ecological function trade-offs differs significantly between urban and rural areas,showing a center-periphery distribution pattern.(3)In 2000-2005,2005-2010,2010-2015,and 2015-2020,The dynamic changes of the production-life function trade-off index are especially prominent in the main urban areas of one provincial center of Wuhan and two provincial sub-centers of Xiangyang and Yichang,some counties and districts of Wuhan Metropolitan Area and mountainous areas of western Hubei Province;the significant changes of production-ecological function trade-off index and living-ecological function trade-off index are mainly distributed in four mountainous areas and some counties and districts of Jianghan Plain in Hubei Province.(4)Based on the geographic detector model,population density,GDP,and human activity intensity are identified as the key drivers of the territorial space functional trade-off relationship,and based on the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of the functional trade-off intensity of territorial space in Hubei Province from 2000 to 2020 and its existing problems of territorial space development,the optimization and enhancement strategies of territorial space layout are proposed.
