Identification And Analysis Of China’s Shipbuilding Industry Chain

Shipbuilding industry is one of the important equipment manufacturing industries in China,and its development reflects the comprehensive situation of a country’s manufacturing industry.The continuous promotion of a new technological and industrial revolution puts forward higher requirements for the development of Chinese shipbuilding industry,namely green,low-carbon and intelligence.At the same time,China is actively building the new development paradigm with domestic circulation being the mainstay and the two circulations reinforcing each other.In this critical period,only by seizing the opportunity,transformation and upgrading,can the shipbuilding industry stabilize its competitive advantage and make a breakthrough in the global market.Therefore,identifying and analyzing the industrial chain of Chinese shipbuilding industry will help to clarify the current development characteristics of Chinese shipbuilding industry,which is of great significance to clarify the role and interaction of various industries in the shipbuilding industry chain.Based on the input-output table of 153 departments in 2018,this paper analyzes the industrial association of Chinese shipbuilding industry by using the input-output analysis method.Then,the social network analysis method is used to construct corresponding industrial association network.Furthermore,the block model is used to analyze the clustering and correlation of industrial blocks,so as to form the refining industrial chain.Subsequently,through the network characteristics analysis of the refining industry chain,the information of Chinese shipbuilding industry chain with the composition of upstream and downstream industries,is completely presented.The robustness of the shipbuilding industry refining chain is tested by using the 2017 input-output table data.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Chinese shipbuilding industry is directly or indirectly related to most industries in the national economy,which means the industrial chain has strong integrity;(2)Overall,the shipbuilding industry chain with loops have such characteristics as longer industry chain,network-intensive and complex relationship;(3)Shipbuilding industry which is the terminal of the industrial chain,with high radiation and low restriction,plays a higher role in pulling than promoting in the national economy;(4)The upstream industry chain of the shipbuilding industry is a complex network structure with steel rolling and other metal smelting and rolling industry as the core.Its downstream industries are simple,mainly including "metal products,machinery and equipment repair services",carriage of goods by water and transport auxiliary services,passenger transport by water and "mining,metallurgy,manufacturing of special construction equipment".
