With the development of China’s social economy, the application of prefabricated construction in bridge construction is becoming increasingly widespread. In the design of prefabricated bridges, the connection between the cover beam and the prefabricated pier column is a crucial part, which has a significant impact on the integrity, durability, and stress of the bridge pier column. The use of steel cap beams can not only achieve assembly, industrialization, and rapid construction, but also improve the stress situation of pier columns using its own structural form. Therefore, this article combines the characteristics of the existing connection methods between steel cover beams and prefabricated pier columns, and conducts a series of research on the connection between steel cover beams and prefabricated pier columns. The specific content is as follows.(1)By reviewing relevant literature on the connection between steel cap beams and prefabricated pier columns at home and abroad, analyzing the shortcomings of existing connection methods, and combining with engineering practice,a new type of temporary hinge device for steel cap beams and prefabricated pier columns is proposed. And introduce the structural composition, advantages, and construction methods of the connecting device.(2)Establish a finite element model of the entire bridge during the consolidation of the connecting device, analyze the stress characteristics and deformation of the steel cap beam and pier column under different load conditions; And elastic connection elements were used to simulate the connection method between the steel cap beam and the prefabricated pier column, and the effects of two different connection methods, namely hinge joint followed by consolidation and direct consolidation,on the mechanical performance and deformation of the cap beam and pier column were analyzed.Based on the parameterized analysis of the lateral rotational stiffness in the elastic connection between steel cap beams and prefabricated pier columns, the most favorable lateral rotational stiffness for pier column stress is obtained.(3)Establish a physical model of the connection device, analyze the force characteristics of each component of the connection device under bending moment and shear force, and verify the hinge effect of the connection device by calculating the rotation angle and node rotational stiffness generated by the connection device; And analyze the rotation angles generated by the connecting device under different lateral bending moments, and obtain the relationship between the rotation angles generated by the connecting device and the changes in lateral bending moments. At the same time, parameterization analysis is conducted on each component in the connecting device to analyze the impact of each component on the mechanical performance and hinge action of the connecting device.(4)Based on the functions of various components in the connecting device, analyze the force transmission mechanism of the connecting device; And establish a simplified beam element model for the connecting device, compare and verify its calculation results with the solid model results, and provide a simplified modeling method for verifying the hinge effect of the connecting device in practical engineering.Based on the above research findings, the temporary hinge device between the steel cap beam and prefabricated pier column in this article meets the structural design requirements, and the connection device can play a certain hinge effect, providing a design idea for the connection method between the steel cap beam and prefabricated pier column in engineering.
