Belt conveyors play an important role in modern industrial production,they are widely used for conveying materials in coal,ore,chemical,building materials,metallurgy,grain and other industries.In order to solve the problem of conveying lines that require turns and cannot be used with straight belt conveyors,flat turning belt conveyors have emerged to overcome these deficiencies.When a flat belt conveyor runs in a turn,the conveyor belt deviates from the centre line of its installation position and belt offset occurs.A rational design can reduce this deviation and is a key step in designing a turning belt conveyor.The main studies are as follows:A study and analysis of the turning section of a three-roller set planar turning belt conveyor is carried out,the basic working principle for achieving natural turning operation is discussed,the three main constraints that need to be met during the turning process are analysed,and based on this,the main influencing factors that affect offset are analysed and obtained: lift angle,trough angle,roller pitch,conveyor belt type and turning radius.Based on Belt Analyst,the offset line of the belt conveyor is modelled and analysed to obtain the simulated offset of the belt under a certain working condition.An experimental system is set up for a flat turning belt conveyor,combined with a machine vision offset detection system,to visually detect and analyse the offset of the turning section and obtain the actual offset data of the conveyor belt.The analysis is carried out using the Belt Analyst offset modeling and analysis method to simulate different working conditions,and a SQL Server conveyor belt offset database is established for the analysis of the simulated offset to provide data support for the optimization design of flat turning belt conveyors.The relationship between various influencing factors and offset is investigated,and an orthogonal test design is carried out to establish a fitted level orthogonal test table to provide training samples for the multiple regression model.The single linear relationship between the different influencing factors and the amount of offset was investigated and analysed qualitatively,and then the correlation strength between each factor and the amount of offset was determined and analysed quantitatively based on the multiple linear regression model and Pearson feature selection.Combining the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the offset amount of the turning section and each influencing factor,the offset optimisation design software for the turning section of a flat turning belt conveyor is designed and developed through VB modularisation,and the optimal design solution for the turning section of a flat turning belt conveyor is provided.Through theoretical analysis,offset line modeling,offset data simulation analysis and test verification,this paper optimizes the design and analysis of the planar turning belt conveyor and provides an optimal design solution for the turning section,which has great theoretical significance and engineering value.
