Electrical Engineering is an engineering application course integrating electricity,magnetism,mechanics and other disciplines.Electrical motors are the main object of research in electrical engineering,and are used in many verification and exploratory experiments in the electrical profession.However,with the continuous expansion of the enrollment scale of colleges and the spread of COVID-19,the existing problems of shortage of experimental equipment and insufficient teaching hours have been gradually enlarged.Meanwhile,online teaching methods are relatively simple,and it is difficult to meet the learning needs of students.For the above shortcomings,taking the motor equipment as the simulation object,combined with the virtual reality technology to develop the motor virtual simulation experiment teaching system.The main research contents are as follows:(1)The article analyzes the application status of Electrical Engineering and electrical instruments in electrical specialty,introduces the characteristics of virtual reality and the research status of virtual simulation experiment teaching at home and abroad,combined with the continuous development and transformation of higher education models under the special period of the spread of the COVID-19.Analyzed and obtained the results that the virtual simulation training has significant advantages,and design the development process and technology development route in combination with actual user needs.(2)In 3ds Max,through the use of polygon modeling,path modeling,texture mapping and other technical method,the construction of models such as motor and electrical technology experimental equipment,DC motor,multimeter is completed.And use Photo Shops software to make the material map,and then use the edge folding algorithm based om weighted quadratic error measure to simplify the model,reduce the memory usage of model resources,and optimize the system processing process.(3)By arranging lights and rendering the model with V-Ray,the production and output of video key frames are completed in 3ds Max,and the video sequence frames and subtitles are integrated and processed through nonlinear editing,and finally the video including the working principle and experimental guidance is completed.This video achieve the teaching function of the system.(4)With the help of the Unity3 D engine platform,integrated multi-level of detail,object-oriented programming,My SQL database,improved collision detection of the hybrid bounding box algorithm and others,developed the structural composition of the system,video teaching,simulation experiments and practice test modules.The system integrates the functions of equipment observation,animation teaching,simulation experiment and on-site assessment.It has the advantages of clear experimental information,safely operation,concise operation interface,and no restrictions on time and place.It overcomes the shortcomings of traditional experimental teaching process,improves students’ learning efficiency and learning enthusiasm,and has good application prospect and promotion value.
