Objective:The modified dental support cyst plug with digital 3D printing was used after the decompression of large jaw cystic lesions, and the three-dimensional modeling of cysts under digital software was carried out,and the clinical effect was evaluated by volume changes. Methods:Forty patients with mandibular cystic disease who were admitted to Xuzhou Central Hospital from October 2019 to April 2021.They were randomly divided into experimental group(3D printing group)and control group(traditional stopper group),with 20 cases in each group. All enrolled patients underwent preoperative digital modeling of cystic lesions of the jaw, obtained the cystic cavity volume data of preoperative lesions, designed the window site according to the plan and performed the decompression for jaw cysts.Three days after surgery, the experimental group obtained the patient’s postoperative CBCT and Oral-scan data and designed a digitally modified tooth-supported cyst plug with porous column channel, and selected titanium alloy material for 3D printing, while the control group was manually molded by experienced physicians to make the cyst plug. The visual analogue scale(VAS)of the two groups during model preparation was evaluated for difference.Meanwhile, the retention, mechanical properties and stability of the two groups were evaluated. The CBCT and Oral-Scan image data of the two groups at 1,3 and 6 months of follow-up were obtained, and the cystic volume was obtained in the digitization software.SPSS 25.0 software was used to evaluate the difference in the rate of osseous volume reduction between the two groups. Results:The experimental group of digital impression made of titanium alloy as printing material cyst plug patients reported higher comfort than the control group. The mechanical strength and stability of the cyst plug in the experimental group were significantly different from those in the control group(P<0.05).The retention of the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).There was a statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control cyst plug group in the reduction rate of cyst osseous volume(P<0.05).Conclusion:The modified tooth-support titanium alloy cyst plug with digital 3D printing has good mechanical properties and stability. It has little damage to abutment and no lateral force, and has the advantages of precision, individuality and comfort. The improved irrigation and injection channel can fully flush the cavity and speed up the narrowing rate of the cavity and reduce the waiting time before the second operation, which is worth promoting in clinical practice.
