Research On The Improvement Design Of Taiping River Waterfront Landscape In Shijiazhuang Under The Background Of Aging

Waterfront is an area where urban water and land intersect.As an important component of urban public open space,it is a place for citizens to relax,entertain,and interact.At the same time,it also bears the main function of showcasing the city’s image.With the development of the times and the expansion of cities,the original construction of urban waterfront space will no longer meet the current needs of urban development and citizen use,so it is urgent to improve.Since 1999,the elderly population in China has accounted for 10% of the total population,which means that China has officially entered an aging society.The social problems caused by the aging population have become thorny issues in today’s society and urban development.Urban waterfront space,as a place where the daily activities of middle-aged and elderly people are more frequent,deeply affects the daily life and communication of the elderly.Studying the construction of urban waterfront spaces suitable for elderly activities is a powerful measure to address the issue of population aging.This article aims to explore the improvement design of urban waterfront space landscape and the incorporation of age-appropriate elements into the waterfront space landscape.Firstly,through on-site visits and investigations,we will understand the current situation of the Taiping River waterfront space,summarize the problems,and conduct research on the needs of the surrounding people.Secondly,by reading literature and understanding the concepts related to urban waterfront space and aging suitability,and by studying and sorting out the theories of aging suitability,accessibility design,design integration with natural theory,regional characteristics theory,and other theoretical research,summarize the principles of accessibility,safety,and spatial diversity that should be followed in the design of the Taiping River waterfront space landscape and aging suitability.Based on theoretical principles,we will deeply explore the existing advantages and disadvantages of the Taiping River waterfront space,optimize and improve it from the aspects of infrastructure,space utilization,landscape elements,route setting,and plant configuration.We will start with accessible facilities and increase the number of accessible devices in the site.Based on the behavioral characteristics of the elderly,we will optimize and improve the Taiping River waterfront space from the aspects of road width,paving materials,landscape sketches Practice age-friendly design in terms of space enclosure and safety...
