Urban Theme Illustrations And Cultural And Creative Derivatives Of Changsha Regional Cultural Elements

In the context of strengthening cultural construction and promoting the development of cultural industries,design innovation based on regional culture is an important step in strengthening ’cultural confidence’.Through innovative design of Changsha city-themed illustrations and creative derivatives,the aim is to promote the image of Changsha city and to pass on and promote the city’s regional culture.Changsha has a long history of regional culture and a deep cultural heritage.Starting from the regional culture of Changsha,the feasibility of using illustration in the regional culture is analysed;the elements of Changsha regional culture are integrated and categorized into four cultural types: natural landscape,historical culture,non-foreign heritage culture and food culture;on this basis,the representative elements of Changsha regional culture are refined,following the principles of regional,contemporary and series,and combining the figurative transformation of humanities and history with the abstract transformation of spiritual connotation.This is followed by the use of illustration art to innovate the expression of regional culture and explore the visual expression style of illustration in line with modern aesthetics;finally,the design of Changsha city theme illustration is positioned in terms of style,emotion and form,and the composition and colour composition of the picture are interpreted to complete the creation of Changsha city theme illustration.After finalising the proposal,in order to precisely position the design direction of the cultural and creative derivatives,the current development of Changsha’s cultural and creative industry was sorted out,and the existing cultural and creative derivatives in Changsha were investigated by means of field research to find out the problems that exist in Changsha’s cultural and creative derivatives at present.After refining and reorganising Changsha’s regional cultural elements,the design of Changsha city-themed illustrations was completed under the name of "Changxiangsi",and the illustrations were further applied to the creative derivatives,with "food","decoration","residence" and "learning" as the main themes.The design of the derivatives is based on four aspects: "food","decoration","residence" and "learning",which enriches and completes the design practice.The theoretical research and practical demonstration process has confirmed that the design idea of transforming Changsha’s regional cultural elements into visual forms of illustration and integrating them into cultural derivatives is entirely feasible,which can not only effectively enrich the existing forms of expression of cultural derivatives,but also enhance the cultural uniqueness of cultural derivatives,and has positive significance for the dissemination and promotion of Changsha’s regional culture,and can further drive the It will also have a positive impact on the dissemination and promotion of Changsha’s regional culture,and further promote the innovative development of Changsha’s regional culture.It is hoped that the design research will provide some reference value for the design innovation of regional culture.
