Architecture colleges and universities are important positions for architecture research and development.Architecture education undertakes the important task of transporting outstanding talents for the country and society.Among the contents of architectural education,architectural design teaching is the core course,and the basic teaching of architectural design at the beginning stage is the key to open the design teaching.Higher education has been developing for nearly a hundred years.As a core course,basic teaching of architectural design has undergone great changes in its teaching system,teaching method and course content at different stages of development,which has important historical value and theoretical significance.This thesis takes the basic teaching of architectural design in China as the whole research object,divides it into different historical stages and historical characteristics,takes the development of college style and modernism basic teaching as the clue,through literature review and collection of basic teaching materials,and on the basis of relevant research,This thesis presents the changing characteristics of basic teaching of architectural design in time and its development trend in contemporary times.The structure of the thesis can be divided into three parts: introduction,main body and summary.First,the introduction part defined the scope of basic teaching of architectural design,then classified and summarized the related research on higher building education and basic teaching in our country.Then summarized the international basic teaching and the development situation of higher building education in our country.By reference,the development of Chinese building design foundation teaching divides into four stages.Secondly,the main part of the thesis develops according to the time clue.The first stage introduces the establishment of college basic teaching with rendering composition as the core and the preliminary practice of modern basic teaching with abstract composition as the core.The second stage introduces the twists and turns of basic teaching,during which collegiate basic teaching model is strengthened and adapts to the situation of our new characteristics,as well as partial emergence of the theory and practice of modernism basic teaching;In the third stage,under the background of the re-establishment of the educational system,the college basic teaching is firstly continued,and the process of the transformation of basic teaching to the modern is reviewed in detail,and two different development clues are introduced,which take the composition as the core and the space construction as the core.In the fourth stage,it is pointed out that basic teaching of architectural design is generally carried out with space as the core.On this basis,it illustrates the diversified practice and research of current basic teaching through sorting out teaching cases.Finally,in the summary part,it firstly summarized the characteristics of the historical development of basic teaching of building design,then summarized the basic teaching trend of the contemporary multi-development,and put forward several suggestions on the future development of basic teaching of building design.
