Research On Product Surface Texture Design Based On Kansei Image

With the segmentation of the consumer market,personalized design has become the mainstream of consumer growth.However,many similar products in the current market suffer from severe homogenization,lack of appeal and competitiveness,and cannot meet users’ personalized needs.This study aims to provide new design ideas and innovative methods for expanding the differentiation between products through the research of product surface texture design based on emotional imagery.In this study,the elements of product surface texture were analyzed and studied,and were broken down into unit morphology,organizational rules,texture depth,and interference methods.The emotional vocabulary of texture characteristics and state dimensions,"hard-soft" and "dynamic-static",were determined.Subsequently,a large number of data collections and parameterized modeling were used to construct a sample library of common texture on product surfaces,providing a basis for subsequent experimental research.Regarding the four constituent elements of texture,this study established texture experimental samples with single-element variable for each element,and explored the relationship between texture constituent elements and emotional imagery through sensory evaluation experiments.The experimental results showed that the comprehensive trend of texture emotional imagery was influenced by changes in the constituent elements of texture.In the "hard-soft" emotional imagery dimension of texture,the main factors influencing the variation were the corner and edge numbers of the unit morphology,texture depth and chamfer,and thickness gradient interference.In the "dynamic-static" emotional imagery dimension of texture,the main factors were the symmetry degree of the unit morphology,the complexity of the organizational rules,and the variation of random interference.Finally,based on the experimental conclusions,a surface texture design strategy and design process based on kansei image were proposed.Conference cameras were taken as an example for product surface texture design practice,and the design solutions and processes were evaluated and optimized.
